Ultra remote starter starts my 2007 dodge ram ram runs a few seconds and shuts off horn blows and light flash then starts and stops again

This is usually a good situation to bring to alarm shop and have them take it out and see if you can just keep the remote start or it might need a new brain on the alarm system

There's a website that has all this information about all this and manuals everything totally free there are many actually but I personally like few .. let me know if u need help

Securilock problem for your remote start? Check when you try to start it, if the security light is flashing fast it is probably the PATS (security system) bypass. To reprogram it you will need two keys. First insert the first one and turn it to the run position. When the security light shuts off insert the second key and turn it to run. Once the light has gone off the second time pull the key out and hit the start button on the remote start fob, this all has to be done in 10 seconds. The vehicle will start, shut it off and try it again. If it doesn't start look to see if the security light is flashing fast again if it is the bypass needs to be replaced. If the light isn't flashing fast and it still doesn't start it should be honking at you or flashing its lights, count these then look in your manual it will tell you what is wrong. While our Dodge ram truck sits - the horn starts blowing. We think it has to do with the remote and the security. We have the Python CE0890 remote starter - it is a few years old.

I have a dodge 2007 ram 1500...most likely its an RPM issue. The compressor requires a certain RPM to maintain the required pressurized vapor.

I think your horn relay is making contact from behind your horn buttons on your steering wheel. Usually as time creeps up the insulation that is placed on the positive lead for the horn gets worn out from constant horn action. If it is worn down the horn is touching a ground and completing the circuit and thus making the horn sound. I would start with that first before getting more technical. Let me know. Gabe

Mine has done this and i as well do not have a working remote. To disengage it just put the key in the driver door lock and turn for 2-3 seconds and it will disengage. i didn't even know mine had an alarm until coming out of work one night and it went off and i could not get it to turn off unless i went to "unlock" the door and hold it there for a few seconds.

I took the battery out of the remote,therefore not allowing the remote to send bad security codes to the system.The backup remote operates the system perfectly.I am allowing the main remote to dry several days and will try it again.If not,I'll have to buy a remote if I want a backup remote.

try changing the coil- sometimes they get hot and break down- once they cool off vehicle will start and run until they get hot again

my horn did the same thing - we disconnected the horn (which in an 02' is behind the passenger side headlight) I'm sure it's wearing out and we need to replace it.
