If the unit is running fine with A/C power then your A/C power is fine.
If the unit cannot run when both the battery and the A/C are connected then the battery needs to be replaced.
I had two units 2 months ago with this issue. They dont go on at all when their battery is connected along with the A/C - as the battery is faulty. When I replaced the battery everything was well again.
