I can guide you to put google back but it is better to remove the hijackers first. I can do it for you if you install teamviewer on your computer i can remote administer you and fix it.

To set your homepage to google using IE go to the gear icon/internet options set homepage to http://www.google.ca/ in Canada or .com or whatever country you are in) Using Firefox Firefox icon/Options/options general tab home page type http://www.google.ca/ in Canada or .com or whatever country you are in) Using Opera Opera icon/settings/preferences general tab home page type http://www.google.ca/ in Canada or .com or whatever country you are in) Using Safari either you have a set of horizontal bars at the top right then choose settings/ On startup open a specific page or pages, set pages sometimes the gear icon is at the top right if so choose preferences/homepage type http://www.google.ca/ in Canada or .com or whatever country you are in) Using Chrome Gear icon/preferences/homepage type http://www.google.ca/ in Canada or .com or whatever country you are in)

How do I get google chrome back as my homepage when I log on ?

Go to internet settings in control panel ....in the drop menu you will find home page settings and you can click use current one if you have an open browser page on google chrome .also if you open google chrome it should ask if you want it as your default browser if for some reason you used another browser beforehand such as opera or Firefox.

Aol took over want google back as home page

If your using IE go up to the top right coner and click on the icon that looks like a gear. This is the toolbar of IE and then tab down to internet options and here is where you can erase the home page that AOL hyjacked. Just enter your address: www.google.com in this area and "apply" the change and then your homepage should pop up google again when you open your browser. This also works for FireFox and other browsers. regards, Dennis

I want to make Google my home page. It disappeared. I don't want Ask.

If you tell us what browser you are using we may be able to tell you how to make Google or any page your home page.
Let us take Firefox.
Open your Firefox browser
In the Search bar at the top on the right, type in Google and click the search button (the icon of a magnifying glass)

Here is what you might see. In this case the first link is to google.ca (where the search originated)

Click the first link to see something like this

This is the actual (current page). If this what you want as your home page, do not enter any search keyword and let the page remain the current one.
Now look at the menu bar at the top of the Firefox window for the TOOLS menu. Click Tools, ad locate submenu OPTIONS

Click the OPTIONS submenu. A tabbed window opens. Click the GENERAL tab. This is what you see.

You see the three buttons Use Current Page, Use Bookmark..., Restore Default.
Now since the Google page is your current page (in the browser) click the button Use Current page and click the OK button at the bottom.
The Use Bookmark... gives you an alternative to selecting the Home Page. You could bookmark a specific page that you discovered while browsing and use it at a home page.
If anything goes wrong, you can still restore the default home page, probably chosen by the manufacturer.

I WANT GOOGLE FOR MY HOME PAGE ONLY

Many times, downloading a toolbar will automatically set your homepage whether you wanted it to or not. First, I would check to see if you have any toolbars installed (I remove all of them).

Click on Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features

If present, right-click on the Ask Toolbar and select Uninstall.

Next, return to Control Panel and open Internet Options. Under the Homepage box, enter http://google.com/ and click on the Apply button. This should solve your problem.

If the homepage continues to revert back to the other pages, you more than likely have a running application causing the browser to automatically select the scripted page. I would then recommend downloading Google Chrome or Firefox to use as a web browser. If you already use Google Chrome and the problem is happening, download again to revert the settings back to default.

Make google my home page

Dear Chris,

Open 'Control Panel'. Go to the 'Programs and Features' and uninstall everything related to 'Ask' or 'Ask Toolbar'. Then go to you browser and put Google as your home page again.

As we do not know what browser you are using, we can not provide more specific answers. if you are kind enough to tell us what is the browser you commonly use, we can tell you how to add google as your home page.

Hope this helps!
