Hello. My sennheiser k6 power unit works fine with a battery, but won't conduct phantom power through it. I've tried different XLRs, made sure my ME66 works on a fully working K6's phantom power, and have tried to make it work with a battery in and out. Any idea why phantom power might not be working and if that is a fixable problem?

on both xlr connection, you can see numbers on the plug from the out side and the inside. number 1,2 and three. 1 is for the ground, 2 for the hot wire and 3 is for the return, just match numbers. if you switch them, it will not work. just make sure one to one and so forth. good luck

This is a well known problem with the EW100 series that is easily solved.
You will need to run this reciever into a line input via a mono(TS) jack to jack lead. this will bypass the phantom power.
Make sure that you set the AV OUT to +18 in the reciever menu to get optimum level.
Phantom power is only present in the microphone inputs XLR3.
Hope this helps.
