Sounds like a back-light fault. Check its back-light inverter. To get more details, http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/Pull up older posts.

When printing my emails I only get only half the message, top part and the bottom half is blank.

Depending on which email service you are using, I.E. Hotmail, you may only be getting a screen shot of the email. In other words it will only show exactly what your seeing on your screen if you simply right click and print. Hotmail has a little ACTIONS with a downward pointing arrow on the right side of your screen. Click that and select print and it will print the actual message instead of a screen shot of the message. I have to assume other email servers use similar techniques to print the actual emails instead of just screen shots. Hope this helps.

When trying to view a picture that is on the camera's memory card I am only able to view the picture for a couple of seconds before the picture viewer goes blank.

you will need to perform a factory reset ( in the settings menu). this will reset the amount of time that the picture remains on the screen after taking a picture, this should also have the additional desired effect of allowing you to view the image in playback for as long as you like.

TOP HALF OF SCREEN NOT PROPER COLOR

For some reason, I'm tempted to tell you to only view the bottom half... :) Can you please update this with the model number so I can research it for you? This will allow me to give you some options to check. Thanks, Dan

Top half of screen goes blank.

Replace Y drive and Y sustain boards or check for loose cable connections on the LEFT side of the panel when viewed from the back - delicate job.

Top half of screen blacks out

Today, after speaking to the Sansui Manufacturer representative from Japan. He stated that all you need to do is to turn off the closed caption from the TV remote and not the DVR remote. Black screen can occur at the top half or the bottom half of the screen depending on how it was originally setup during installation. Try this and hopefully this fixes the problem.

1/2 screen blank

Sounds like a bad connection on or in the vertical output circuit, or the drive circuit. Could also be the vertical output IC or the surrounding componets going bad. Good Luck
