Have an Invicta Lefty Quartz Chronograph. The subdial that marks the minutes fails to reset to 60, though the large second-hand resets perfectly. Recently I bought another Lefty and had the same problem. I promptly returned it. Perhaps the movements for all these models are faulty. Wish Invicta would be more careful with their watches before sending them out.--R.De Feo, NYC [email protected]

Actually the sweep arm can be set to 0 and will probably have to be every time you have the battery replaced. To set the sweep arm pull the stem and crown out to the first or second set position then press and hold down the start button. The sweep arm will move into position and you can let go of the button when it is where you want it. Make sure to set the right time and replace the crown in the time position.

Great watch!!

How it works invicta clock mechanism ?

Your watch is battery powered or a 'quartz' watch. It is commonly refered to as a 'chronograph'. That is another word for stop watch. As well as telling time and the date, your watch can time how long an event lasts. For example, a horse race. You start the chronograph or stop watch when the horse starts and stop it when it crosses the finish line. When the next horse starts you need set it back to zero to time the next race.Operation is simple. The upper push button starts and stops the chronograph. Try it. Now with the chronograph stopped, push the bottom button. The hand return to the 12 o'clock position or the 'zero' position. Also notice the small dials on the dial or face of the watch. They record minutes and other increments of time. The large hand going around when you push the upper button is recording seconds. Hope this helps, Michael

Yes that's common, most chronograph watch's a small subdial is the times second hand. The large second hand is only for the timing function of the chronograph.

On a Invicta Men's Off-Shore Russian Diver Quartz Chronograph Silver-tone Watch, the big min hand does not stop at the 12 clock position but instead stops 2 mins before the 12. It stops on the 62 instead...

It isn't a fault and can be adjusted. Follow this link and find out how to.... http://www.invictawatch.com/ Point at COLLECTIONS and click on INSTRUCTION MANUAL. If you don't know which one of movement makes you have, try both (RONDA first, then MIYOTA). When sorted with type of movement, check how to reset chronograph to 0 (zero).

The second hand on my invicta chronograph watch doesn't reset to zero

Easier than you think.
Pull your Crown out to the FIRST stop (were you would normally set your date). Push the "A" button (top chrono button) for your dial at the "3 oclock" area, Push the "B" button(bottom chron button) for the second hand.

I can't figure out how to adjust the offset chronograph

This is to adjust the seconds hand or minutes hand for the chronograph. Pull the crown out either one click or two ... depending on the models. Squeeze and hold the top and bottom buttons at the same time (timer stop and reset buttons). Hold down together for 2+ seconds. The chronograph hands should reset by spinning around and stopping at 0. If the don't stop right at zero, you can now adjust where they stop. Leave the crown where it is in that same position out. Press the top chronograph button and hold it down for fast movement or short presses for fine movement to adjust til it stops at the top. This will adjust where the seconds hand stops. Then click the bottom chrono button once. Repeat what you did with the top chrono button and it should allow you to fine tune the position for the next dial, and so on. When you are done, press the crown back in all the way to the normal position.

Invicta Speedway 9223 not keeping time

It sounds to me as it is a quartz chronograph and it is right that the centre seconds hand moves only if the pushbutton is pressed. If you look close enough, you will notice that the small subdial finger is ticking and counting seconds. It is recommended to replace battery, as sometimes watches been laying in stores for a few years before selling and the battery is flat or underpowered.
