I have chosen the rgb pc option on my tv whereby it runs windows but gives me a blank screen and the no signal warning.if vga and rgb are of the same video input or output function why does it not show me anything after im able to see the windows loading info on my pc but not anything else that comes after that. the loading of the windows info is what i see on my pc when i boot it up, there after ill see the option to insert my password. this wont show on my tv - why not?
Because your laptop needs it's display setting changing so your second monitor is active.
While on your desktop, right click once and a box will appear, choose "properties" at the bottom.
There you will see another box, choose the "settings" tab at the top right and this will show your display options.
Right click on the number two box and "attach" it.
You may also have to change the size of the display to fit your tv.
Hope this helps

I think the problem is the screen resolution and size of your pc is not matching the resolution size of your tv or is not compatable at the size you have it on or you may have to change to 4:3 ratio from widescreen. In your manual it will tell you the resolution sizes that you tv uses. You would probably be better also using the VGA to DVI lead, thats if it came with the tv (it does in the UK) as it supports higher wide screen resolution, whereas VGA will only support 1024 x 768 or there abouts.

Your right. I just had the same "Invalid Input" issue as well and it completely relates to the resolution compatability with any VGA or HDMI connection. Check the LG website for the online manual if you don't have it and see the section on RGB-PC cable. There is a table that incdicates the Resolutions the LG product is capable of displaying.
Thanks for the help.
SOURCE: ive connected the vga cable and still get "NO SIGNAL" msg.
If the resolution of the source of the RGB signal is outside of the range of the set, you will get this mesage. The supported resolutions are listed in the owner's manual. Verify that you have a signal within that range. If you do, please post your source of the video here and we'll look further.
Thanks,
Dan

Mine did the same thing once. I think all I did was hit the setup on the remote, and let it run back through all the channels and then it worked just fine.
I hope this works for you.

You probably need a audio cable that runs from the pc audio out to the TV audio in. Radio shack has them so do a lot of hardware store and best buy.
