SO sorry to hear this. I have seen to many tablets go BRICK after they are left to charge and then either they stay on the android boot/battery screen or they stick on the logo screen. There is a few things u can try to rescue you tablet.
First is this a acer tablet a700 or is it a acer iconia a 700?
I will assume its the tablet since if it was the iconia phone you would of been more upset for the 300 dollars plus. SO here we go and by no means can i tell u the exact reason these tablets fail or brick after charging.
This is a upper end tablet and not the cheap china clone. so hear is your first thing to try.
DO a hard reset with the keys first. WARNING reset can wipe out all ur data and set it back to factory if thats what u had it set to do. So if u have a sd micro card in its slot.. remove it and disconnect it from the computer dongle too. There are several diff options in recovery settings..back to factory or restore you settings from a backup file.. or wipe it and start all over.
so be aware that by doing a hard reset u can end up reinstalling everything u had on there.
Factory reset is first done with keys. HOLD THE POWER BUTTON AND THE SOUND UP but make sure you have the sleep / lock button right. at same time until it powers off..if not try power/sound up..this is the most common android tablet reset.
If this fails, then
The right side of the tablet is home to a microSD card slot (under a
plastic flap) and a micro-HDMI port. The power/sleep/unlock key and
3.5mm headphone jack are located along the left edge, while a volume
rocker and orientation lock switch are found on the top edge of the
tablet, .
The micro-USB charging and syncing port, as well as a pair of speakers and a reset button, are located at the bottom of the A700
If u have made sure u have the sleep /lock switch in correct position. U have only one option left..the dreaded reset button. its on botton next to the usb sync charge port. Use a paper clip NO SHARP OR POINTS that break off.ie PENCIL lead .
DIsconnect from power and remove any micro/usb bridges..hold it in until it powers on and off..then cross your fingers and push the power button and wait.
If this fails to reset it back to factory and revive it. There are some software tools..SDK ANDROID isnt for the weak at heart though..lots of info and things that you will pull ur hair out trying.
If the reset above doesnt work..and u made sure its not in lock/sleep.. u are best off contacting the help line first and then last.
good luck my friend..
I will follow ur case..so post what happens and i will get it
