I'm not a repairman, only a "doityourselfer". Try some or all of the following:

1. Check water valve to see if it full open.
2. Check the hot water hose inlet on the back of the machine. Look for a strainer that may be clogged in the hose inlet (turn water valve off first).
3. Check hose for kinking.
4. With the hose disconnected from the washing machine, try running some hot water through the hose into a bucket just to verify the water is available.
5. With machine set to hot water wash, start a cycle and listen for the hot water solenoid to "click" when the machine is started (some solenoids are louder than others so listen carefully). If water begins to trickle in when you here the click then the solenoid is probably working properly.

Why maytag neptune washer water pouring out soap dispenser door?

Either there is a sock stuck between the inner tub and the water
inlet to the tub or more likely you have been using to much liquid detergent and cold water wash all the time . This can cause the supply tube below the dispenser to be plugged up. Have fun cleaning it. Warm wash should always be used. Detergent needs the heated water to work properly .
only other possibility is mice building a nest if the washer hasn't
been used in along time.

I have a 14 year old Neptune that run great except now no hot water.

There's a fill valve combination on most washers. On the simpler, cheaper models they're simple to change.

It's where the hoses connect, it's usually plastic, and there is a hot and a cold valve in the assembly. Hot opens for hot water, cold opens for cold water, and both open for warm water. apparently the solenoid valve on the hot water side has failed and the unit needs to be replaced.

When we use the cold water it is just trickling in. I cleaned the water inlet screen for the cold water on the back of the machine but it is still only a trickle. Is there another screen inside the back...

Hi,
Often there is a screen at the inlet of the hose also...

If your washing machine will not fill, only hot or cold will fill or is slow to fill then read these tips. I have covered many of the things that can happen in these tips…

Cold/cold wash uses hot water wash and warm rinse. I have t set to hot/cold wash to get cold water wash.

probably the water inlet hoses are hooked up cold water line to the hot water inlet and vice versa

Getting hot water only into the tub. Is that a bad mixing valve? Where can I get one for a VERY old Maytag Washer?

The cold water valve could be faulty. It's quite possible that the valves haven't changed. If you don't need hot water put the HOT hose on the COLD tap and wash on 'hot' or 'warm' you'll need to rinse on hot or warm or the machine wont open the 'hot' valve which is now delivering cold water!!!! Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer Model MAH4000AWW low last spin

two problems here,
your shaft seal is running on its last leg
the sound is unmistakeable and always described the same...
the water issue, you probably have a trickle leak through the cold water valve
the mixing valve is quite an easy repair, but I would have to say with all honesty, it probably time for a new machine
the hub seal is a tub replacment call
2 hrs of labor if hes good
and the tub runs around 500.00 dollars
sory for the bad news

Maytag washer

It sounds like you have the hot and cold water lines to the washer reversed.  Try turning off the tap for the hot water then setting the washer to just cold wash and then  hot washif you get nothing on the cold and cold water when set to hot they are probably reversed.  Typically if the auto-temp control is broken you will only get hot or cold coming out on any setting.

Maytag neptune

Change the water valve again ,you most likely got a bad one.The odds of there being no cold water after a new valve is almost impossible. You can test the valve to make sure its working before you go to buy another one.

Maytag Neptune MAH7500AWW will not fill from hot water side

check out the hot water tap is on then check out the hot water valve for continuity (poss 27 ohms) then check for blockages in the small inline filter at the valve.
