Blue screen on my laptop, circle cursor just keeps spinning.

Toshiba notebook won't start up. The desktop screen is entirely blue and the circle (cursor) keeps spinning.

The windows files are corrupted or the hard drive has issues, load cd installation disc if available, if that fails have the hardware checked for possible replacement.

My Toshiba Satellite Notebook is only showing a blue screen with the cursor in upper left hand corner blinking.

That blinking cursor is the way in which the BIOS is telling you that Windows is missing - its most critical, core files have been corrupted beyond repair. The only thing you can do is to reinstall using the recovery cd or your own Windows install disk.

I GET A BLUESCREEN AND CURSOR WHEN MY LAPTOP BOOTS

Press F7 while windows statrs and boot the system wih safe mode check whether you are getting blue screen.if you are not getting blue screen, Then the problem was due to improper driver installed for any device. Uninstall the same in safe mode.

Black screen w/blinking cursor

So.. you can select safe mode? Or you turn it on and it is resuming into the blank screen?

If the latter. Unplug the power, pull the battery out for 20 seconds or so. Then put it all back together and try booting up.

Computer hangs up on shutting down screen

Ok.....

1. Make sure ALL user accounts are logged off!!!
2. UPDATE ALL DRIVERS
3. Check to see how many Programs are running while attempting to Shutdown the PC..(the more programs it tries to close, the longer it can take...(ESPECIALLY WITH LOW AMOUNT OF RAM/SLOWER RAM)

try installing an updated driver for your webcam and updated driver for the video card for your laptop. go to driverguide.com and register then search for drivers. or you can go to the manufacturers website of your laptop and search for the software drivers.
