How do you fix the clock on a thomas collector edition radio model 512

  1. Locate the clock adjustment buttons: Look for the buttons or knobs on the radio that are specifically designated for clock adjustment. They may be labeled "Clock," "Time," or have symbols indicating clock functions such as hour and minute adjustments.
  2. Enter clock adjustment mode: Press and hold the clock adjustment button or buttons for a few seconds until the clock display starts blinking or enters a mode that allows you to adjust the time.
  3. Set the correct time: Use the clock adjustment buttons to adjust the hour and minute values. Typically, you can increase or decrease the values by pressing the respective buttons. Some radios may use a rotating knob instead. Adjust the time until it reflects the correct current time.
  4. Save the settings: Once you have set the correct time, press a button or wait for a few seconds to exit the clock adjustment mode and save the new settings. The clock display should stop blinking and show the updated time.

How do I adjust the clock when it's running slow?

If your cuckoo runs too fast or slow, the best way to correct this problem is to set your cuckoo to an accurate watch or clock. After 24 hours, record how many minutes your cuckoo is running too fast or slow. Then adjust the bob up or down the pendulum stick to change the pendulms effective length. You'll need to take an educated guess as to the distance. Reset the cuckoo minute hand time to your watch or clock again. Repeat this process every 24 hours, recording the results, and readjusting the bob until you are within 3 minutes of the correct time. Then, switch from recording every day to recording every week. Use the same process described, recording the time difference, adjusting the bob up or down every week, until the cuckoo is accurate within approximately 3 minutes per week. Remember, mechanical cuckoo clocks are not as accurate as quartz or electric clocks! A three minute error per week is not bad. Maybe you can do better. What you are attempting to do is to obtain is the best timekeeping possible from your cuckoo clock. Afterwards, you will still need to sychronize the cuckoo (coo coo) clock minute hand to an accurate clock or watch, each week or as desired.

How do I set the clock in the radio?

Typically, you have to hold down a "Time" or "Clock" button, then press either a fast or slow button and hold it until the display reads the correct time. Some models have hour and minute buttons instead of fast or slow, and a few have a slide switch that you move to the clock adjust position (it would also have an alarm set position) before the hour/minute or fast/slow buttons are enabled. Some clocks reset to 12:00 AM if you hold Clock, Fast and Slow all at the same time. You'll just have to experiment a bit to find out what works on yours.

How to operate howard miller clock 645-342

Make sure all winding springs are wound well- but not overly tightened and set pendulum in motion. The clock needs to level across the face and front to back to work correctly. Time can be adjusted by moving the hands of the clock via the minute hand- allow it to strike once at each strike interval to keep strikes synched to clock time, and fast or slow can be adjusted by either the adjustment onthe pundulum arm or on the mechanism where you see an arc with "F" and "S" on either end.

Depending on model, it will need winding at least as often as the name of the clock type- in other words, a seven day clock should only need to be wound every 7 days.

My radio controlled watch is exactly half an hour fast according to the hands, but the internal clock appears to be correct. This happened when I tried to adjust the watch to Canadian time

If I understood correctly this watch have a analog watch display ..and it is half an hour forward..but when you set timing or the alarm it behave normal ..and so the internal one is correct ..but just do not display the correct time on the analog one ...If it do not have any means to correct manually the analog watch ..I advice to try to remove all power and stop the indicators at the exact time ...(a sharp hour...) and power it back after the exact time it is forwarded ....This way the analog clock will be stopped..and the internal one will go on and will adjust at the spot by the radio time ..and you will have both timers in correct display ...If it does have buttons or so in the back ..try to correct them by hand ..

Re: Galleria / Metro Grandfather Clocck. W/ pendulum on lower hanger clock runs slow. W/ pendulum on upper hanger clock runs fast. How can I adjust so it will keep correct time, or should I take it to a...

Most grandfather/grandmother clocks have an adjustable screw on the weight to slightly extend it or shorten it to satisfy the equation of pendulum swing. the shorter the swing (arc distance) the faster the clock, the longer the swing the longer the time. Check to see if you can adjust the weight up or down on the hanger.

Clock runs 5 minutes fast

Do you mean you set the correct time initially and then gradually got faster? There may be a reset button on it somewhere,no guarantee. It will probably be a small circle that doesn't look like anything. If there is,press it with a sharp pencil or something just as small. If not,it's just the nature of the beast.I have a radio which slows down over time...and it's a BOSE wave radio and have to adjust periodically! That's about all you can do is deal with it.Sorry if you can't fix it. Good luck!
