When I save a trail to the devise and thewn reset the devise it does not clear, also it retains the end of last trail when restarted.
Resetting will not delete tracks - you must delete the track(s) individually. Your manual is here. Turn to page 26 and read "Using Tracks" to learn how to delete them.
Good luck!
Testimonial: "Hi, yes the solution was helpful as it made me get the book out and read a bit more about the GPS. However I still have one of the problems remaining. I managerd to find out how to do a "" Hard Reset "" which deleted all the data and left me with a clear screen, no remaining max speed no didtance etc, this was geat as I could then use it on a Hash House Harriers trail I had made the day before, all worked well, I downloaded the data (Trail into Google Earth) so I have a copy on my PC and then did a reset. All items of Data, Time, Moving Time, Total Time and the items of distance cleared as I would has been normal, however my Max Speed from that days run still stayed on the screen"
I'm glad this is helping. Pg 63 details the the Trip Computer Options that you need to reset them. If you use the download version linked above, you can use Adobe's "FIND function to locate every place a word appears in the manual - speeding you to the locations you want to read about. Again, good luck!

a rebooting unit will most likely not be resolved by a reset. The problem is usually caused by a failed firmware or map upgrade. When the unit boots and can not find certain files or they are corrupted, the unit crashes. The unit must be flashed with a service firmware to gain access to the units flash drive so that the corrupted files can be replaced. Once access to the flash drive is obtained, the favorites can be backed up as well. Once the files are restored, then the unit can be flashed again with the factory standard firmware.
