First of all check all driver/software settings, secondly ensure you have the latest driver for your sound device installed. Then proceed with the following:

Have you tried another set of headphones, did they work? Do you get sound from the internal speakers if nothing is plugged into the headphone jack? Do you still get sound from the internal speakers when you plug in your headphones?
If you answered yes to most of, if not all of those questions you are likely to need your jack socket replacing.

If you haven't tried another set of headphones, or other 3.5mm jack audio device, do it and let me know the results.

If the answer is no to any of the other questions please let me know which ones and I will try to offer more advise.

Where are the headphone jacks on the Toshiba satellite A105-S4334 laptop loc

There are two ports, a headphone port (out) and a microphone port (in). They are located on the front of the laptop as shown in the picture below. You can check out the tour for the location of all ports at the link below:

What cables do I need to connect a Toshiba C670-17Llaptop to a Toshiba RL93/95 TV to enable the sound to come from the TV. Laptop does not have an HDMI port?

Look in the audio portion of the setup screen on the TV to see if you have to direct the TV's audio to the headphone port.

I don't know what kind of cable i need to connect my Toshiba satellite L305D laptop to my hdtv

depending on how old you laptop is because the L300 range has been going for a while will be either a HDMI cable or a VGA to HDMI cable but if you require sound and you have to use the latter you will need a headphone jack to auxhilary lead to go from the headphone port of your laptop to the line in on your tv

I have problem with audio port. sometimes it does not work with headphone.

In this scenario we never blame first the port of the laptop. have you tried different headphones? normally the audio ports dont go wrong that often. but after trying different headphones if it still doesnot works then you will need to take the laptop to the service station. try different headphones before spending a penny after laptop's audio port.

No sound coming through Toshiba Dynadock station

Try to plug in the speaker jack to Headphone jack on you laptop not to your docking station. So the desktop speaker is treated as an external average speaker. GoodLuck!

Headphone Jack is NOT working properly

Check your sound device levels. you may need to enable that headphone port before it is usable. you can do this in the control panel tab. reinstalling your sound drivers wouldn't hurt also.

Sound, headphone port, pointing device & 2 of 3 usb inop

maybe the laptop you bought was made or design only for windows vista, in that case you have to download all the drivers for windows xp if it is available in the internet.

Why our head phones on Computer are not working

Is there a switch to turn on the headphone port? Is there a control on the headphones to adjust the volume (on a volume level on the side of the laptop)? Also, when the headphones are plugged into the laptop, go into your sound settings and turn up the master volume (and wave volume if it is low.. If that works, make sure to turn it back down when disconnecting the headphones).

Also, do the headphones work in another device (stereo, etc..)?
