How can i resolve this issue "website certificate error"

The first item to check would be your PC's Time and Date settings on your computer and make sure the month, date, and time are all correct. If not correct, double click on your time in the lower right of your computer screen. Once you change the Time settings, Apply the changes, go to the Internet Time tab and click Update Now. Make sure all your browsers are closed. Press your Window's key on your keyboard + R key to bring up the Run Command Window. Type GPUPDATE /FORCE in the run field and press okay (Make sure your Browswer, IE, Chrome, etc., is closed).

Registry errors

You may have encountered the following message while browsing certain websites:

"Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://<website>.com. Operation aborted."

This really has nothing to do with your browser or your computer. You get this error because of faulty web coding from the webmaster's end.

IE displays this error when it is unable to open a particular element on a web page.

There are many things you can do to troubleshoot this kind of problem.

Upgrade Internet Explorer.

This problem does not occur in Internet Explorer 8. Navigate to Microsoft download Center and click on the "Download" button to upgrade to IE8 or IE9 (see Below).

IE 8

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx

IE 9

Click on "Tools" and select "Internet Options." Hit the "Advanced" tab.

Click to remove the check mark next to "Show friendly HTTP error messages" under "Browsing" sub-headings.

Click on "Apply" and hit "OK." Please note this works mostly for Internet Explorer 6, although there is no harm in trying this on older or newer versions.

Add the specific website that is producing "Operation aborted" error under "Restricted Sites."

Click on the "Security" tab under "Internet Options."

Single-click to highlight "Restricted Sites."

Hit on the "Sites" button and click on "Add."

Type the URL of the website and hit "OK."

This works for Internet Explorer 7, but again, you can try this in earlier versions.

Disable or require prompt for "Active Scripting" when you view the specific website.

Click on the "Security" tab.

Click to highlight 'Restricted Sites" zone.

Navigate down to the sub-heading "Scripting."

Click to select "Disabled" under "Active Scripting."

You may also choose "Prompt" if you want IE to issue a prompt when opening the specific web page or website.

If you are still worried about the registry or need to fix any problems with it

You can run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info

Hope this helps.

After opening some sites they suddently close and IE says close the program or find new solutions that this one to be closed

I would suggest downloading Firefox Web Browser (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/) and using that instead of Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer has a lot of errors and problems.

When I try to get into a certain financial website to check our investments, we are shut down with the following message appearing on the screen. "Internet Explorer has closed this website to help protect...

Try using a different (non-virus-infected) computer.

Be sure that you're accessing the "official" web-site, not a "phishing" (and "unauthorized") copy of the financial web-site.

Upgrade to Internet Explorer 7 or 8.
Start IE, and click 'Tools' and 'Manage Add-Ons',
and disable unneeded toolbars. Close IE, and re-open it.
Now, try to access that web-site.

Club pogo closes when i try and play

Hello,

It sounds like a internet browser problem almost sounds like a java problem,

Go to java.com and click the blue Free Java Download button. This will allow you to update your java clients (pogo users Java)

Also go to www.flash.com and update your flash, if you see a movie play when you go to flash.com you do not need to update. If you don't click, install

If the above does not work , try downloading an updated web browser either IE, Firefox or Chrome - all the links are provided below. Once you update your browser try again.

You can also Download IE 8 from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/Internet-explorer/worldwide-sites.aspx

Or Firefox web browser from mozilla.org

Chrome; http://www.google.com/chrome

Thank You

Constantly encountering an error and needs to close

I think, its some Add-on which is creating this problem in IE.

Please check the Add-ons in the Tools "Manage Add-Ons" Menu and try Enable / Disable for the Add-on which you think is not required for your IE.

Internet Explorer Crashes when Closed

I had the exact same problem and was so frustrated I was about to smash my pc with a hammer. LOLZ! Finaly I had enough and decided to update to I.E. version 8 form the M.S. updates site. After the update and a reboot, the problem immediately went away. It hasn't happend since! YAYYY! When he new I.E. 8 started I got an error message which told me tha my HP {Printer} had an I.E. adon that was incompatable with I.E. and would cause it to crash and suggesed that I remove or disable the adon. So I am assuming that was what was causing the crash problem with version 7 as well. I hope this helps others! Try turning your I.E. adon off then restart I.E. see if that helps! If so, it's only a mater of determining which ones are incompatable! PEACE! KreiosK.
