SOURCE: Refrigator is not Cooling anything
Michael, couple of things to check. Is the compressor running? If not remove the back panel and check the overload and relay. It should be a white box on the side of the compressor. Unplug the cord and remove it. Shake it, does it rattle? If so, there's your problem. If that's not the case look for a frost up on the back of the freezer on the panel. If it is all frosted up, you have a defrost issue. Catriver...post back.

same problem then suddenly would not shut off, kept running. found out it was the thermo couple as well as the timer.
SOURCE: freezer works, refrig does not cool
hi they only thing that could cause this problem is dirty coils at the back.clean all the coils at the back. thanks the appliance doc.
SOURCE: Warm refrig and freezer
You probably need some refrigerant added. There probably is a leak in the system that caused the lack of refrigerant. Get the leak fixed and add refrigerant before you blow your compressor too. Or get a new fridge.

Unplug the Ref for 15-20 min., plug it back in and listen for the compressor to start. You will need to be behind the Ref so you can tell if the compressor or the fan is running. It will help to take the cover off so you can see the compressor.
Compressor not running but you hear a clicking noise. The relay needs to be replaced.
Compressor runs but not cooling. Low on coolant
