Without seeing the faucet or knowing any other details, it sounds as if the o-rings or seats are bad. Most likely twisted or misaligned if the problem is such that it won't turn off. If the faucet assembly is loose, these small components can come out or become misaligned. Write down all the information you can about the specific brand and model faucet, then take this down to your local hardware professional and ask for the rebuild kit. You may need valves in addition to seats, springs, washers and o-rings (depending on the model). Most companies have kits for doing these rebuilds. Check also the seal made at the seat. If this is not tight, water will flow. Be sure you ask which, if any, special tools are necessary to remove the faucet assembly and various components. These tools are sometimes standard and sometimes specialized or unique to a certain brands/models (ie: handle pullers, seat pullers, valve wrenches). Final tip: before doing any faucet work, always remove the aerator to allow any debris to pass through the line and flush thoroughly upon completion before reinstalling the aerator.

SOURCE: Removal of single hole kithcen faucet.

There is a bracket that slides between the threaded shaft and the bottom of the sink. There is usually a nut which is tightened up against this bracket. When this nut is loosened, the bracket will slide out. Of course, you first have to unfasten the two water supply lines. Once the bracket is removed, the two water lines which are made into the faucet are gently bent and the whole thing is removed from the top of the sink. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have an american standard bathroom faucet.

First, turn off the water supply under the sink. Next, put the faucet lever in the up position, no water should be coming out. While in the up position turn slowly while looking at the underside of the handle and you should be able to find a set screw. It will probable be an "allen head" type and you will need and allen head wrench to loosen it. An allen head looks like a hex shape, 6 sided I believe and is rod shaped. If you don't have one they come in sets at your local hardeware.

I have a single faucet Koehler for the kitchen sink. Cold and warm water are fine. When I turn it to hot, there is a tapping sound and the water spits out instead of a steady stream.

Simply check to make sure the valve under the sink is fully opened. Or u may have to remove the hot supply to check if it clear if debris.

The entire faucet is lifting off and spraying water at the joint when the lever is activated and water is being used,do I need to call a plumber to repair this. It seems that the faucet cannot be screwed...

No you do not need a plumber,
below under the sink, there are two valves, One for Hot ,One for Cold.
Turn them to the right.make sure they are turn all the way with a little pressure at the end. Now the kitchen has no water.
With a wrench ot pliers remove the water hoses, There may be a little water left in the hose so don't panic.
Now this may be a little harder.
Put yourself all the way under the sink, with you on your back.
Do you see the taps. There may be a fitting with screws. remove screws and fitting. You should be able to remove the whole Tap.
With you new tap... Follow their instruction.
When you are putting the hoses back on.. make sure they are slightly snug.
We don't want it to leak again.
Turn you water back on and slowly turn on your taps.

It appears that the seal at the base of the tap is worn or the screw collar is loose - try hand-tightening it. It may cure your problem. Plumbers tape is a white tape that helps seal water pipe joints!

How do I disassmble a jado kitchen faucet with

you have to locate the water shut off valves before you attempt removing the water lines, hopefully they will be located on the lines under your sink, if not you will have to shut the water main off coming into the house. After you have shut the water off and disconnected the lines, look under your sink at the back were your faucet comes through the sink and you will find the fasteners, unscrew these counter clockwise and the faucet will lift out .

Single Handle faucet broke on my Kohler kitchen faucet and can find no replacement or solution

Is cheaper to replace the whole tap as the service kits cost almost as much as the tap to buy, I presume you are talking about a flick mixer tap (that is what they are called in australia)
Replacing them is reasonably easy, turn off water at the main out on the footpath turn the tap on to let the water run out, go under the sink with a couple of spanners or deep reach socket and undo the lines and the tap hold down nuts and remove, replace in reverse order

Leaking single lever kitchen tap

on most of the single handle faucets there is an erasure like button ( may have a hot and cold blue and red indicator or be silver ) usually located right under the faucet arm on the manifold chrome sleeve or back behind the arm or it could have a large ring nut over the doam of the lever take your hand and feel the area that covers the area where the spout arm swivels and feel for the button or take your fingers and fel the to of the lever doam

if you find the button just take a sharp screw driver( be sure to plug the drain holes and turn hot and cold water off under sink) pry the button off and use a hex wrench and loosten

if no button then there has to be a large nut on top you may seee two grooves oppsoite each other wheich would mean a special tool

use an adjustable wrench (put cloth ofer chrome to protect and turn counter clock wise( the ring nut will not be very thick

after removing you should be able to replace the cartridge

good luck

Loss of pressure in kitchen faucet - Price Pfister

Your problem is a simple one.

  1. Turn off water to faucet.
  2. Place a towel(s) in the base of the sink(s) to prevent any parts from going down drain.
  3. Remove the handle to the faucet. (single handle only)
  4. If not a single handle then remove spout from faucet.
  5. If a single handle remove cap carefully and any loose parts.
  6. Gently turn spout side to side while lifting to remove.
  7. You will see a hole with a very small valve where the water comes out to the spout on the base of the faucet.

  1. Remove this valve (which is a backflow preventer) and replace.
  2. Reassemble and test.
Problem solved.
