This works on a couple different Toshiba models -- might work on yours...

Make sure the main power switch is OFF. Hold the "ON", "MENU", and "INPUT" buttons at the same time and turn the main power switch on. Keep them held until the yellow power standby light comes on, then let go. It is done.

  1. Unplug the power cord from projector
  2. Hold the following keys on the remote
  • On/Standby
  • Menu
  • Input
While holding the above keys, plug power cord back into projector, the lamp timer will reset. When power is turned on "0H" appears on the display to verify the reset process.

This solution works definately with TLPLW15 lamps. May work for others too.
1. Insert the power cord.
2. Turn the main power switch.
3. Press the ^ button on the control for about 10 seconds. (up button on the remote control). This will make the projector to beep. After the beep, press the V button on the control (down button on the remote control) for about 10 seconds.. This will make the projector to beep again for a bit longer. This indicates that the timer is now cleared.

Can't reset lamp timer after lamp replacement on Panasonic PT-AE40000

I have a Panasonic PT-AE4000U and could not reset the timer after replacing the bulb with a, non-Panasonic branded bulb. Calls to tech support were not very helpful. It was another bad customer service experience. Through troubleshooting it myself, I discovered the solution was simply to unplug EVERYTHING (serial cable, hdmi cables, etc.) from the device, power it off and back on. Follow the procedure in the manual, the timer immediately reset!!

Reset the lamp timer on PJ506d

Here's the manual
www.aboutprojectors.com/pdf/viewsonic-pj506d-manual.pdf

On page 24 in 'Advanced Mode', it tells you how to re-set to factory settings, and that will probably include zeroing the lamp hours.
If not, there seems to be nothing else there.
