MY DISHWASHER IS DEAD BUT THE POWER IS RUNNING TO THE OUTLET. IT WORKED FINE YESTERDAY. COULD IT BE A FUSE? PLEASE HELP!
More than likely the door catch switch or the on off button, check these 2 first
THis happened to me on a different model GE profile-I opened the front panel and pushed the botton inside that is triggered by the latch and it keyboard came on. I think like the other colution stated, the door catch switch got stuck

might as well forget your help as the original question was posted on 10/15/07 and you have no solution as of 11/1/07. Rather usless!!!
sorry for the negative comment - did not page down and see the suggested solution!
My dishwasher will not run, door is locked, power to plug, was working in the morning and then not in the afternoon.
I have the exact same problem - started a cycle and checked it later only to find that it apparently died shortly after the cycle started - there is no power to the unit at all. No circuits were tripped, the outlet has power (plugged in a light to test it), but absolutely no response. Very sad if this is a $1300 dead weight.
my dishwasher stops during the cycle and will not switch back on til the next day
I have the same issue was working fine and is pretty new. Is it a board or a sensor?
I started it and opened it during the initial scanning. It instantly shutdown no lights working on button panel. This happened once before. My 1 yr old fixed it by randomly pushing buttons. Thought maybe theres a certain button sequence to push to activate it again.
I have an old kitchenaid kdc-21a and can't find a wiring diagram to trouble shoot the problem. The unit has power but will not turn on. Any info would be helpful thanks, Andy.
Dishwasher will not come on, no matter which button is pushed..
