I think standart filled with its the expensive Turmopol oil but there are also much cheaper lubrications also by Hilti to get for this fabulous tool.
I think the
SAE 20-20 its fast the same like Turmopol hd20 the price is much higher of the original Hilti Turmopol maybe by special dopes in the oil.
If its leaking water in front of the bearing replace always all oilseals and gaskets in the front of the tool much more is most case not neccesary.
No, that will burn you seals and o-rings in a short time
15w40 or that kind of Oil will go on like syrup no then you go for a new service kit of seals and rings .
But the important things that are quickly to see .
If its a heavy old large hammer 10 kilo or more with a heavy battle piece then use a hammer fat(grease)only if there is no oil fill glass present. in place, but if it looks that oil has seated and the parts are made for high speed, use at least a zinc-free hydraulic oil Because of the heat dissipation, which is really high because of the internal air compression.
Oil for a high-pressure cleaner which have a one-time oil filling without oil filler cap which oil can also be used.
Turmopol oil brand Hilti always good but is very expensive.
its having for shure the working hours are on it, carefully service is doing service a complete machine not only a few parts a consumables kit and sae20-20 or hd 20 turmopol oil all seals the impact bolt with rings and seals are have allways the highest high priority some other parts can only can be measured by a tolerance control also the special bearings are very special inside also with very close tight tolerance its oft hard to do a service job without the right tools for . Hilti & Duss are brands with a special marketing technical development no children's toys in each case . In Europe Hilti has no no more connection brokering from 2006 and later only to the end user for service i don,t know how its in your Country has been .
Most of the pressure washers IF for professional use are using 1600 rpm motors and 15w40 oil after a first use of 40 working hours there is a speciaal penetrating oil there are possibilities with a plug to fill it and also left on it. after the first 40 hours the oil must left and chanced to 15w40 oil for the lifetime and there is an
oil sight glass on it.
But there are also pressure washers in the budget class for home use that will not have this options on it and they are filled for timelife until it have a problem where is leakage, important to know that this kind of oil is a zinc-free hydraulics type of oil that can be sometimes expensive i have used after a repair by leakage a cheap equivalent of turmopol 20hd from Hilti for it what is used in demolition hammers of the brand Hilti thats very good and cheaper than the original oil sometimes Brand names are very different in prices , you should use this kind of oil but first information about the when you have a model that you can place upside down possible on his own motor most of the time induction motors are used. the pump is on the bottom and longlast-filled with special zincfree hydraulic oil like EFCO Nilfisk WAP ALTO and many more
A real Hilti brand means it has got the operating hours on it.
Only service a complete kit of components , this machines are have most liquid oil lubrication (most of the times a very expensive) Turmopol oil and special poor tolerance bearings HILTI and DUSS are high quality machines , Duss machines i prefer some higher then Hilti because of the long last service for more then 40 years old machines they have all te parts for them , but not cheap Unfortunately.
If a hammer stopped working like Dewalt all the parts are simple to get. most of the times a broken powercable or a brush that have become in protected state autostop , Dewalt hammer in the States is not the QS quality of Europe i know . but quality like the old ELU machines instead of black and Decker ,
Nice machines and are not fast leak , but it could also after a long period.
181490-7 grease 30g 1 pcs complete be shure there are no cured o-rings or bad gaskets .
188015-8 its the maintenance kit for the service it contains already this 30 grams grease, where come 60 grams advise ? i like also to use some more grease by this heavy kind of hammers.
But tools like Hilti with liquid (oil) lubrication and very tight tolerance ball bearings if there is to much (turmopol) oil used it will be damaged, and too little oil also its calculated. I cannot give garantee that 60 grams are advised by a makita service, if you order a maintenace kit ask the seller about why it only contains 30grams. The information to use 60 grams ? doubt.
Is there enough lubrication flow if something is broken inside replace ALLWAYS a complete servicekit , because its , beware of the Turmopol oil is expensive. there are equivalent oils if you asked special for it also by Hilti to buy.
Hilti and Duss are not the 2 cheapest brands of powertools.
Special Tolerance-free bearings are used it is all super calculated on a number of operating hours and about if something is defective, a complete overhaul is necessary.
These hammers may leak no trace of oil in the front until 2006 HILTI has in my Country support , but after this date
exclusively support to the end-users and support closed for brokering.
Go to http://www.makitatools.com/en-us/Modules/Home/Default.aspx, put your model number in search box in the top right. Two models of the HM1500 will come up, select yours and open the owner's manual. Find the paragraph labeled 'Lubrication' and follow it precicely. Demo hammers are very picky about what type of grease they use and how much. Too thick and they won't work, too thin and they won't lubricate properly and the parts inside are very expensive to replace. Same applies to how much to use.
