GWL11 Machine adds water during spin cycle and leaks on floor

The washer will actually add water from the right hand side fill during the spin cycle. This water is then sprayed around inside the cabinet and leaks out onto the floor. This never happened prior the unit having some issues during the spin cycle that seemed to be repaired by unplugging the machine for a few minutes to eliminate the annoying beeping and failure to finish the cycle. It does run through the complete cycle now but leaves a mess on the floor.

SEAL IS MOST LIKELY LEAKING BETWEEN AGITATOR AND DRUM, SEALS ARE CHEAP AND DEDERGENTS OVER TIME CAN WEAR THEM OUT.

No water inputted in rinse cycle

Turn off the cold water valve supply to the washer and unscrew that hose off the back of the machine. Take the screen out from inside the washer where the hose was screwed onto. Clean out the screen and re-insert it. Re-attach hose, turn valve back on. Presto, better water fill rate.

4 year old Fisher Pakel washing machine

Hi and welcome to FixYa!
Some things to check- Start with the water pump underneath the machine in the right-front of the unit. Look for signs of rust or leakage, that would be the most likely cause. Also check the operation of the diverter valve, inspect it to make sure there is not something like a lint ball or small object caught in the flapper; this can allow water to seep out of the diverter when it is supposed to be sealed in the spin or drain cycles and this seepage will get on the tub's rim as it spins and cause a leak on the floor. This kind of leak will cause water to appear as if it is leaking between the top and the cabinet.

Word of caution- the water pump is electric, and if you allow this leaking to continue, it can actually short out boh the water pump as well as the machine control.

If afer you solve the issue, if you find that I have accurately described the problem, a FIXYA rating is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
