CAN NOT DOWNLOAD FILMS FROM CAMCORDER TO COMPUTER.TELLING ME I HAVE NOT GOT DOWNLOAD DRIVER CAMCORDER IS PANASONIC NV-GS50

You are in luck! You do not need a driver for this camera to transfer video over the firewire port into your computer. All you need is the appropriate cable and some video editing software. The software can be as simple as Windows Movie Maker (if you are on a PC) or iMovie (if you are on a Mac). Plug your camera into the firewire cable, turn it on and put it in playback mode, then start your video software. Then there should be an option or menu entry labeled "import footage from camera" or "import" or "transfer from camera" or similar, depending on what software you are using.

This model has been discontinued so support for later windows editions are not likely. Windows 2000 is the last version you can always run your compatabilty mode with 2000 for optimum preformance.
