Kenmore 11025102310 washer isnt working. I press the start button, and the sensing button lights up for just a second and there is a couple of minutes of a grinding type of noise but then nothing.

SENSING Page 5

When the START/PAUSE/Unlock Lid is pressed, the washer will first perform a self-test on the lid lock mechanism. You will hear a click, the basket will make a slight turn, and the lid will unlock briefly before locking again. Once the lid has locked the second time, the washer will use short, slow spins to estimate the load size. These sensing spins may take 2 to 3 minutes before water is added to the load and you may hear the hum of these spins. If the sensing light is on, then washer is working properly. You will hear the motor turn the basket in short pulses to thoroughly wet the load. The washer will then move the load briefly, pause to allow water to soak in to the load, and resume adding water. This process may repeat until the correct amount of water has been added for the load. You may also hear water flowing through the dispenser, adding detergent to the load.

NOTE: Avoid opening the lid during sensing. The sensing process will start over when the washer is restarted. The sensing light may also come on during the Soak and Wash portions of the cycle. This is normal.

If there's no water, then Page 13

Washer won't run or fill, washer stops working, or wash light remains on (indicating that the washer was unable to fill appropriately)

Check for proper water supply.

Both hoses must be attached and have water flowing to

inlet valve.

Both hot and cold water faucets must be turned on.

Check that inlet valve screens have not become clogged.

Check for any kinks in inlet hoses, which can restrict water flow.

Or you have an inlet valve that is not working

My GE Top Load washer will not start. When I push the start button, it just beeps like when the door is open

Hi,
I purchased a 4.8 cu. ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer with Steam in Metallic Carbon, ENERGY STAR.
I had issues when I used the machine for the first time. I started by loading some clothes and then the detergent, bleach and softener into the respective dispensers. I used the smart dispenser for the detergent, there are 2 detergent dispensers. Then I waited and ended up with water and a machine that would not spin .I kept getting the error message " Sensing " and it made light clicking sounds but was told that this was normal. I then waited 40 minutes and still no improvement. clothes stayed in the same spot.. nothing was happening but the Sensing Scroll Message.. I had to push the power button to stop it. I then pushed start but I still kept getting the error message scroll " Sensing "
I started over by setting it to drain & spin. It worked and my clothes got spun finally. Since I kept getting the sensor message and that is all it would say is " Sensing" .... I decided to try something else.
I powered it off and started a new load.
Next Load Trial:
I added soap to the detergent dispenser " Not the detergent smart dispense. Then i pushed the control lock button and last I hit the start button and whoala It works now.
Try getting familiar with your washer. do some light loads until you figure it out. It will eventually get where you need it to ,just be patient. Now I wash loads easy as pie.. I hope this helped you out with your problem. ;) . I am still learning mine and will post future issues and fixes if I come across any. Thank You.

I have a Whirlpool Cbrio top load washer. it won't start it's cycle. Once it senses the load, the lock lid light flashes and it does nothing. can this be fixed?

I would say that the lock has failed. Either the lock itself or maybe the pin or latch that fits into it when you close the door may have cracked / broken. If the machine thinks the door / lid is still open, it wont let you start it.

Front load washer, try to spin, but stops altogether and want wash it fills up but want wash

Make sure that you don't over load the washer. As it starts to spin back and forth it is sensing the load balance as the clothes fall back and forth. If it doesn't sense a balanced load because the clothes can't fall back and forth it will not start the wash process. Refuse your load and try again.

Whirlpool WTW4950XW Washer won't go past the sensing cycle.

It may be as simple as a defective door switch or even a clogged drain hose (the hose between the tub and drain pump. Here are some videos that may help you more than i can. This guy knows:

As soon as the machine is on an error message of 3E appears and the machine stops

3E - MOTOR RESTRICTION ERROR
Hall Senior is sensed every 5OOms. 1 second after motor starts to work.

If data of hall sensor is less than 2 (2RPM), the Washing motor will stop at once.

During Washing and Rinsing when a motor restriction is sensed, the motor stops and then proceeds to the next water -flow action. If the motor stops working and this happens in one direction ten times, "3E" Error is displayed.

During dehydrating. when a motor restriction is sensed. the motor stops working and then returns to the initial stage of the dehydration unbalance sensing cycle. After ten times, "3E" Error is displayed, When the motor Is told to stop because of an operating function. no error is shown.

Power 81W OFF can clear the motor restriction error.
