The ear padding is attached to and held in place by a plastic ring that fits into the speaker mount. Gently pull the ear padding outward so you can see the ring, then slip a flathead screwdriver or other object in (just a bit, you don't want to poke the speaker inside). Gently pry up , sliding your pry-bar along, and the pad should pop out quite easily.
