I bought this new hdmi to rca converter, the manual only tells so much.i follow instruction, but nothing works.is there something im missing.
SOURCE: 40gb hdmi
I had the same problem at first. I did the following:
1. Connect both cables: Multi-AV and HDMI.
2. Go to the TV's channel for SCART.
3. You now can see the PS3. Go to Display Settings, under
Settings menu. Select HDMI and the desired resolution.
4. Change to the HDMI channel.
5. You should now also see the PS3's XMB on the HDMI channel.
6. You can now disconnect the Multi-AV.
I hope this information can help you and your customer.

P.S. I figured you were Dutch since you used Neophyte as a name for your previous question. Are you Dutch, and in that case: what videogames store you work at?

SOURCE: I just bought a new 40 in toshiba lcd 1080p tv and
connect back to your old tv and reset the ps3 to default settings then connect to your new tv.
SOURCE: in a hotel with a tv that only has coaxial input.
Unfortunately it does not automatically switch. Turn off the power to your PS3 and then turn it back on again. But when you turn it on, hold down the power button until you see something on the screen. When you hold down the power button of the PS3 when you are turning it on, it completely resets the video settings to the most basic settings (480p I think) so that it'll work on any TV or monitor. You can then configure the video settings to match the TV you are hooking up to. You'll have to do the same thing when you take it back to your original location.
Testimonial: "Just as you described. Saved me from having nothing to do this whole week. Thought I would have to watch hotel movies the whole week. "
