Take a small flat head and pry the door open if not the only other way is to unscrew cover and manually push tray open

Marantz DV4001 DVD player suddenly won't power up. Rental DVD stuck in player. Besides the lack of power issue - is there way to open the DVD player manually?

YES, UNPLUG, REMOVE SCREWS @ BACK & SIDES, CHANGE FUSE ON POWER BOARD,OR YOU CAN TRY & RELEASE THE TRAY BY WINDING THE COGS BACKWARDS. CHECK YOUR PLUG FUSE FIRST.

I have a GPX D200B DVD Player and cant get the Disk Tray to open.

unplugged the dvd player and then re plugged, power on then press the eject button. if still the loading tray won't open, at this time you will need to remove the cover of the player to access the loading tray mechanical assembly. then check for an stuck up or broken rail plastic loading assembly it was installed drive by the loading motor.if ok, check the limit switch might not get contact which the processor not turn on the supply for the motor.

JVC Dvd video recorder & video cassette recorder (DR-MV1S) Why do I get "disk erroe" on some rental disks? How do I fix this problem?

are these discs very scratched up??

they usually are from the rental places

you cant fix anything if you are getting scratched discs

you might be able to open your player and very carefully clean the 'eye' of the player with a qtip and rubbing alcohol this might help so the laser has more strength

but it is more than likely the quality of the rentals you are getting

good luck - hope this helps a bit

When reading some disks it reads for awhile then it shows no disk. These are movies i rent, but it will read some disks.I have read manual but there is nothing useful.

If these are rental DVDs, they might be too scratched up for the DVD player to read. Look on the underside of the DVD and see if there are any scratches. If there are scratches, ask the rental place for replacement DVD

Dvd is stuck inside and drawer will not open

Yes, it was a piece of the addhesive dot that was stuck to the back of the disk. I unplugged the unit (of course), removed the 10 screws holding the cover on the chassis and that exposed the disk in its tray. I could not manually open the tray still, but I was able to remove the tape dot from the disk while it was still in its tray. All is well now.
