I have Hp 1136 MFP printer which i wanted to share with other computers in network. It is not a network printer but still by sharing its printer i am able to take prints. Now, my problem here is i can't scan my documents from any other machine expect the one which is connected to it through USB. I am unable to share the scanner. I need help to share scanner, so that i can scan the documents from other machines as well.
Have you considered installing the scan tools on the other computers? Print sharing is a function of windows; assuming that the printer is not a true network printer. Windows does not have the ability to share scanners. But this is where the software can scan the network and find a HP scanner. Also some scanners can perform a "scan-to" function; but I believe the software need to be installed on the destination computers for this to work as well.

If your printer is connected in the Network and you are able to print fine than there is no communication Error.
In htan case if you are not able to scan then you need to upgrade the firmware of the printer and install it and i m sure your printer wiill scan scanning on the Network.

However before you start sending firmware to the printer you need to make sure that printer driver is installed on the PC.

it is a physical brocken piece that supports scanner mechanism.
if you open that plate /scanner mechanism and if you drill that plastic sheet and try some manufactureed alluminium or metal projection and place it in the hole drilled by you and put washer and screew so that that supports ;the scanner mechanism and your scanner /printer works . the scanner mechanism may costs you around 3,000-00 rupees.

To perform a cold reset
1 Turn the MFP off and then on.
2 When the memory count appears on the control-panel display, press and hold 6 until all three
LEDs flash once and then stay on. This might take up to 20 seconds.
3 Press 3 four times until COLD RESET appears on the control-panel display.
4 Press 6 one time. The MFP continues its initialization sequence.

Hi,
For your information, your printer model is not a network
printer. So you can not use it individually from other computer in network. But
you can share it in LAN. In that case you can use it through the computer where
the printer attached directly & you have to make the PC turn on to use the
printer.
To share the printer in LAN, go to the printers and faxes wizard in control panel. Right click on the printer and go to the sharing option. In this properties select share the printer option and click on OK tab.
