Heater went out

It was making clinking sound like something was stuck and then sounded like grinding gears when the fan finally went out . You can hear the unit kick over when you turn it on but I won't work now.

Sounds like the blower motor went out, needs replacing. Possibly something got stuck in the fan blades, but doesn't sound good for the motor. If you take it out and something was jammed in the fan, test the motor with jumper wires from the battery.

SOURCE: The heater (fan) makes a loud noise.

The most obvious problem could be that something has fallen down into what is called the squirel cage of the fan.

Every once in a while a mouse will decide to build a nest there.

SOURCE: Heater Fan does not work

Sounds like the fan control knob has shorted out. You can check the fan "blower" relay and fuse in the engine compartment but you need to make sure the control knob is good or you will keep blowing fuses and relays. If your blower fuse and relay are good, then just have the control knob checked and replaced if needed.

What would cause a grinding noise that whenever u put it in gear will not move

A grinding noise when you put the motorcycle into gear and it doesn't move could indicate several issues with the final drive on your Suzuki Intruder. Some possible causes are:
  1. Worn or damaged clutch: The clutch may not be engaging properly, preventing power from reaching the rear wheel. A worn or damaged clutch can cause a grinding noise when you try to shift into gear.
  2. Faulty gear: The gears inside the final drive may be worn or damaged, preventing them from meshing together properly. This can cause a grinding noise when you try to shift into gear.
  3. Low or contaminated gear oil: Low or contaminated gear oil can cause excessive wear on the gears inside the final drive, leading to a grinding noise and reduced performance.
  4. Failed final drive: A failed final drive can cause a grinding noise and prevent power from reaching the rear wheel.
If you are not familiar with motorcycle repair, it is recommended to take the bike to a qualified mechanic to diagnose and fix the issue.

Why does every right turn or bump cause loud, annoying grinding sound in ac/heater?

Sounds like yout heater fan motor is loose and rubbing against something

Pushed started my 06 Honda trx450r now it makes a grinding / ratchet sound when idling or when you ride it have I done something to the gears in the trans?

Either the starter gear is staying stuck in the flywheel or the synchronizers in the trans got damaged while pushing it off. Possibly the clutch basket was warped too

Heater control unit stopped wrking , now stuck on high heat and fan

When I had my Buick we had problems similar to this and we just went to the auto wreckers and pulled one out of another car and replaced it and then it seemed to be fine. It's relatively easy to replace and a cheap fix, the unit cost us around $10 at the auto wreckers.

Starter sounds like its rubbing the flywheel

on a ford stater its almost impossible to rub the flex plate/ fly wheel however if the bendix gear spring is weak the stater drive can get stuck on the fly wheel and make a whining sound. if that is the case you will need to replace the starter if its a grinding sound its something totally different.

Noise when a/c or heater is on

If its a whining noise, it could be a belt slipping. If its more of a grinding noise, the blower motor could have a bad bearing or something has found its way into the area around the fan. You'd have to figure out where it is coming from. If it sounds like its coming from under the dash, its probably the blower motor.

two things can cause this: something stuck in the fan itself or the drive belt also check out the front brake pads cause this will also make a grinding noise

Front end grinding sound

My '99 Intrepid at 132k mi had a sound like a pan of rocks rolling around in the front end. The engine fan and the A/C fan were shot. Replacement of fans and a couple of belts (serpentine and another) cost about $800 at the dealer in May 2006. Still going strong at 152k, but should replace the steering gear box.
