Can't find a code for a universal remote for Olevia tvs
You need remote rc64 to control the Olevia 32 inch LCD. You can call Directv and order the remote. Use code 11610.

Olevia code for Time Warner Cable is 053. This TV is made by RCA and that is how i figered it out. Hope this helps all Olevia owners.

I purchased this remote
from radio shack. The codes it had for olevia and syntax did NOT work for my Olevia 242, however it has a function to "learn" functions from your remote. I programed the power, volume, aspect, channel, menu and display buttons with no problem. The only problem I ran into was for the left arrow, because the radio shack uses that button to exit the "learning mode", so I just used the info button below it. The remote also worked flawlessly with my comcast motorola cable box/DVR.
I have a new Westinghouse 26" HDTV widescreen LCD.
#SK-26H240S. I have not been able to program my Directv remote to work my new LCD TV. I searched and could not come up with the code in order for my Directv remote to work the TV.
Would someone on the tech staff be able to provide me with the correct code for this TV?

I found the answer to the Timewarner box, Olevia TV, Synergy
remote code problem.
Timewarner has two remotes the newer remote with the orange "on demand" button programs
the Olevia TV's! Call and request the new remote.
There is still no code given in the paper work, you will need to scan to find
the code. It will take a while to find the code about 5 minutes in my case. Use
the Point and Press Programming method. I have the Olevia 32”

Go to Best Buy and buy the DirectTV Universal Remote Control ($20 and works with all cable and satellite services) Model RC64. It will control all the functions on the Olevia TV and Satellite box, except the A-B-C-D buttons for the User Guide.

Please follow the steps below to program your remote control to equipment other then your DISH receiver:
Note: If you start this procedure and at any time and do not press a button within 20 seconds, the remote will end the procedure automatically. Simply start over again. Use the TV button for your TV, the VCR button for your VCR or DVD player. These Mode buttons are located at the top of your remote control.
1. With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button until all mode button backlights illuminate, then release.
2. Press the numbers 5-0-0 on the remote control.
3. Press the Pound (#) button on the remote.
4. Press and hold the correct Mode button until all mode button backlights illuminate, then release.
5. Press and release the Power button on the remote control.
6. Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
7. Press the Pound (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
8. To verify the code works try several different functions for that equipment.

remote control number and a ablack box appears on the tv sometimes it goes away when tv is turned off but it appears to be staying - i think it has something to do with the closed caption control??? not sure
