How to reset you IPad completely:
1.Go to settings and select general.
2.Scroll to the bottom and there will be a separated Reset button.
3.At the top hit reset all settings.
It will reset your IPad to factory defaults and it will start up like a brand new ipad.
Warning:
The things you had on the IPad will never come back unless you back it up to icloud (witch I highly suggest).

My sister forgot her Apple ID on her iPad and she's 55 and can't remember her password what to do?

Under this circumstance you may have to reset the iPad if you forget both Apple ID and its password.

To reset iPad without Apple ID, you need first put iPad into DFU mode and connect it to your iTunes. Your iTunes will help you to reset your iPad without entering Apple ID easily. Resetting your iPad with this method will result in wiping all the data in your tablet. The following steps will show you how to do that.

Step 1: Open iTunes on your computer and connect your iPad to the computer with a USB cable.
Step 2: After that, turn off you device. Press and hold the Home button for 3 seconds.
Step 3: Put your iPad into DFU mode: Press and hold the Power and Home button for 10 seconds. Then release the power button and keep holding the home button. When you see the Apple logo disappears, you have successfully put your iPad into DFU mode.
Step 4: When iTunes detects that your iPad is in recovery mode, you can restore it now.
Step 5: Click on Restore iPad. Then you will be notified after the reset and your iPad will take a restart.

After resetting your iPad with the guidance mentioned above, you'd better create a new Apple ID and password in time. After resetting iPad, you will get all the data swept from iPad, and you can restore the files from your iPad, iTunes backup or iCloud backup. However, you can't backup iPad to iTunes/iCloud without Apple ID before you reset your iPad . In this case, you need the third-party iOS data recovery software to help you recover lost data from iPad after factory reset without Apple ID.

Re set ipad mini

Generally speaking, you need the Apple ID to reset your iPad. iPad needs you to enter the Apple ID to switch off your account and the Find My iPhone service will be turn off. If you are using iTunes to reset your iPad, you need to enter the Apple ID when your iPad reboots.

But if you have no Apple ID or passcode, you will have to reset your iPad without Apple ID. To reset iPad without Apple ID, you need first put iPad into DFU mode and connect it to your iTunes. How can I get my mail through my app

Sounds like you need to do a hard reboot. From Google:
***
Here's how to perform a hard reboot:
- Hold down the Power and Home buttons at the same time for close to 10 seconds.
- Ignore the Slide to Power Off bar across the top of the screen when it appears and just keep holding the two buttons until you see the iPad screen go black and then see the Apple logo on the screen as it restarts.
***
Hope this helps!

How do I unfreeze my Apple ipad air ?

It's actually very easy, once you know how to do it. Click and hold down the Sleep/Wake button (located on the upper-right corner of your iPad). While you're holding down the Sleep/Wake button, hold down the Home button as well (located on the front of your iPad at the bottom).
Hold down both buttons until your iPad powers off. It will reboot and start again with a small silver Apple image on the screen. It takes about 30 seconds for the iPad completely start up.

Was given a samsung ipad. old owner has password on it. how do I get into this tablet?

Samsung does not make iPads. Apple makes iPads. Is your device a Samsung tablet?

If it is, you can reset the device to factory settings - as if you had just purchased it new and pulled it out of the box. First: power off the tablet by holding the power button down until the screen turns off. This will take a few seconds.

Once it is powered off, press the Volume Up and Power buttons at the same time and hold them. Once you see the Samsung image come on the screen release the power button, but keep holding the Volume Up button. This will boot you into Recovery Mode.

Once the Recovery Mode menu shows on the screen you can release the Volume Up button. Now use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons to highlight your choice from the menu. When you have highlighted the Factory Reset option, press the power button to choose that option and follow the on-screen instructions. The reset won't take long - a minute or two. Leave the tablet alone until it says that the reset is complete. Once it is complete use the Volume Up and Down buttons to choose the Reboot or Restart option. That will reboot your tablet. Don't hold any power or volume buttons while it boots. This will take a little longer than a normal boot up. Once it comes up, the tablet will no longer have any password on it and it will be as if it were brand new.

Forgtton unlock code on ipad2

hard reset the device
OK, you have noticed the strange behavior of your iPad / iPad 2 or even new iPad 3. It tends to freeze for about a few seconds every minute or is running too slow or something else. This is probably the best time for the hard reset of the tablet. To make things easy follow simple sequence:

  1. Make sure your iPad /iPad 2 / iPad 3 battery is charged above 20% (we would recommend at least 50 - 60 %). If you are not sure charge you tablet for at least 40 minutes.
  2. Make sure your Apple tablet is in Power On state.
  3. Watching the shining screen of iconic tablet with apps' icons on it press and hold down the Wake/Sleep and the Home buttons simultaneously, ignore the red slide "to power off", just keep both buttons holding until the Apple logo appears. This logo is the signal that the hard reset has succeeded. Be patient, some times the hard restart of iPad may take up to 10 - 15 minutes. But such a long restart is a rare case.

Be sure that hard reset retains all data and settings on iPad, it doesn't delete anything. If you want to start over and delete all personal data from iPad you should use iPad Recovery Mode.

How do you reset an Ipad? It's stuck on Itunes and won't reset.

Step 1
To reset the Apple iPad you should first locate the power button. This is the button on the top right corner of the iPad when you are holding it like a book, with the narrower sides on the top and bottom.
Step 2
Once you have located this button you will need to simply hold this button down for about 3 seconds or until you see the red slider icon (a red rectangle with a white arrow facing toward the right) come across the top of the screen. The slide area or the area to the right of the button will be labeled Slide to Power Off.
Step 3
If you want to just reboot to iPad you can do that by touching the red slider button and sliding your finger along the slider area toward the right side of your iPad. The iPad will automatically start shutting down, it may take it several seconds depending on the amount of space you are using on your iPad and the programs you had running when you requested the reboot.
Step 4
To turn the iPad back on or restart it after you have shut it down just press the power button (remember that's the button on the top right of the iPad).
