SOURCE: Toshiba HMX94 DLP I replaced the bulb after it

The problem most likely is with either the lamp ballast or the light engine. The lamp ballast is the part that provides voltage to the lamp unit and is usually not all that expensive a part. The repair cost from a service shop can be about $300 or more. If you are handy, you can replace it yourself. Check out www.thepartstore.com for the ballast.

SOURCE: no sound no picture and new bulb red and green

The problem is either the lamp ballast or the light engine. My guess is the ballast. Part cost ranges between about $75 to $150 depending where you get it. If you're handy you can replace it yourself. I posted the process elsewhere on this site for another Toshiba DLP question (I think it was for a 46HM84). Good Luck.

Seems like you might have a bad CAP " capcitor in your powers supply unit. How you can tell this? Opening up the unit and do a HI POT test on your power supply unit and check for faults. You have to be qualified to check this and know what your doing otherwise you could recieve a nice jolt and pay a few hundred for a EMS to revive your heart. So leave this one to the experts if you do not know the logistics of this issue. Assuming your asking me a repair tech would consitute you do not know whats going on seek qualified help.

1. replace powersupply unit
or
2. Rebuild power supply by replacing the caps inside that have tested bad.

Good luck to you on whatever your situation may be but as always Thanks for asking me first!!!

SOURCE: just replaced bulb and the tv still does not work?

Howdy;
Double check the Lamp installtion. 2) make sure the Lamp DOOR is properly closed. 3) unpug TV from a/c outlet for about 5 minutes. pug back into a/c source.

Are you sure the green light is blinking and not the red light?

Good Luck, Big Irish.

How to flash a generator

Get two short extension cords and cut the FEMALE end off each one. Strip back the insulation on that end. Connect the two green wires to each other, and connect the two white wires to each other.

Connect one black wire to a light switch, and connect the other black wire to a 20W appliance-type incandescent light bulb. Also run one short black wire (from a cut-off end) from the second terminal on the light bulb to the second terminal on the switch, like so:

plug -- black -- switch -- black -- bulb -- black -- plug
plug -- white ----------------------------------- white -- plug
plug -- green ---------------------------------- green -- plug

Turn the switch to the OFF position.
Start the generator. Plug one plug from your new rig into an outlet on the generator. Plug the other plug from your new rig into a wall outlet supplying 120V. With the generator running, turn the switch to the ON position.

The bulb should flash for a short while, then become steady. When it's steady, that side of the generator is flashed. Repeat for the other side of the generator if it makes 240V.

I have a Sony Wega LCD Projection 60wf655. When I turn it on, the red light turned green and blinks green 6 or 8 or 10 times or indefinitely. No picture but after a minute of being on the screen glows...

This could be the "thermal fuse" which usualy is next to the light bulb. Part cost around $5.00. Please check your manual for directions depending on light and times blinking.
