Manycam. If you see download.cnet.com download Manycam from that site
or you can google download cnet and search for it from the site.
Install Manycam and run it. If it works, that means your driver for the
ASUS camera is missing or corrupt and you can try to find it on ASUS's
support site to download and install.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.
Save yourself some money and don't repair it ,buy an external webcam it's the best thing to do. much less you will sent, than having it repaired. Look around for one.
