Hey there. You want to make sure that the cables are tight on the back of the receiver and also that the tv is on the correct channel or input. Sometimes, if the tv is on the wrong input, you can get the picture, but it will look scrambled. So if you are in the room with the receiver box, you want to make sure that the tv is on channel 3 or 4, and sometimes on an input like Video 1 or 2.
