Hi, I'm attempting to learn how to reconfigure these devices. I have several MC9060G and MC9090G. I'm learning how to configure, reflash the OS, and load stuff onto them.
My question today is about a 9060 that is constantly showing "Unidentified PCCard Adapter" error and asks for the driver name. I believe this is the wireless card adapter driver it is looking for.
In an attempt to "default" the system, I downloaded the newest OS hex file for the device from the Symbol website and loaded it using the IPL. It loaded sucessfully, but didn't seem to make any difference.
If anyone can point me in the right direction for finding this driver I would be thankful.
When you get the OS from symbol you also need to get the application and platform files at least. the platform file is the one that contains the driver for the radio. you will need to download it using tcm or perhaps you may be able to find an os update which contains all the files and you can do from a sd card. Let me know if you can'ti will need to know what find it as i do have various os for this devices.
I´ve the same problem with one MC9060-KH0HBEEA7WW. Superdude, Could you please help me with the WM5 OS update file? Thanks. Mauro. [email protected]

This is a very common problem with this scanner, especially if its running Windows CE rather than Pocket PC or Windows Mobile.
Every time the terminal cold boots (has been left a significant time without the main battery and backup battery is depleted) it will rebuild any configurations from reg files saved within the Application folder on the device.
To save the wireless settings the profile (and options for peace of mind) need to be save/exported. This is done by hitting the wireless icon located in eth taskbar on the right hand side, from the menu select options. This pops up a box which contains a drop down box, from this select "export" then you can export profiles and options. Each time you will be prompted to save, use default and the relevant reg file will be saved to the Application folder and hence the settings will now persist through an old boot.
