To get a split screen working on this set, you will need to do the following steps.

1. Put a splitter on the incoming cable.
2. One side will go to the digital cable box and one to the tuner on the television. (Ant A)
3. Hook the digital cable box using the video out from the box to Input 1 on the set.
That should do it now select your digital cable on Input 1, and then select the split screen source as Antenna A. You may have to switch sources to select a different input.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Switching singnal

If you are using an antenna or regular cable without a cable box, put the tv on an analog channel. Go into the menu. Select the middle icon at the top of the screen. Go down to the TV/CABLE line. Select either TV (for antenna) or CABLE (for regular cable) on the right. Go down to AUTO CH MEMORY and press the volume+ (right arrow) button. Wait for the channel search screen to clear. Check all of your channels using the channel up button until you come back to the channel you started on.

JVC Television 56" in Digital Mode

somewhere in the tv's menu there will be something called autotune or channel settings. while in that part of the menu you should find something to change settings. also there are many inputs on the back of big screen tv's, you might try a different input like cable/antenna for instance. it may take a two way splitter to split the signal for both digital cable and analog cable. by next february the analog part of the cable may not work anyway.

Tv/remote input problems

Try plugging your cable box in using a/v cables (red, white, yellow) and see if you have a picture on a different input from the box. If so, go into your general settings in the box and change the output channel to 4 instead of 3. Then try your TV on 4 and see if your picture comes in. I have seen TV tuners go out on just one channel before.

Tv will not program in digital signals; only anolog from direct tv box

Any TV hooked up to a cable or satellite box can only "see" one channel...the set-top box (STB) converts the channel you are watching to (usually) Ch. 3 or 4. With cable you can split the input if your TV has 2 RF inputs, with a dish that won't work.

That's why the TV stays on Ch 3 and the STB changes to whatever you want to watch.

Can't get second picture in Picture-in-Picture (PiP)

Watching two separate tv channels at the same time requires two tv channel sources,i.e. a split of some kind. For instance, the cable coming in thru the wall is split-half to tv or vcr/dvd combo and then to tv,the other half to cable box, then out to tv.If what I described fails, then you may have an actual tv failure.PIP video is generally a separate circuit from standard video. An expert tech w/service literature should be able to help.
