My cannon A430 goes BLACK SCREEN.. I can still take pictures.. but the there is no images in the LCD... only black screen.. and when I try to view the images taken in the computer.. it is also BLACK SCREEN... what happen the my digital camera??
It is ridiculous answers like the above which totally screw up this site.

having the same problem myself - i get no picture on the auto focusing or the SCN but do get a blurry picture on the Auto-M. am on holiday and desparate to fix this! any thoughts?
i also have the same problem. my camera can take a shoot with flash but it's only Black. Do you think the Lens is broken. please advise
LCD works fine when reviewing pictures. When in shoot mode it does not display anything. When taking picture using eypiece, there is nothing. Have pressed display button, etc.
Just will not shoot any picture in any mode???

Hi, I'm using Canon A430 for last 2 yrs. Suddenly it's LCD is comming complete black, only some hazzy dots are visible and when trying to take shoots, no image is showing, its also complete black with date stamp only. Pressing differt keys unable to fix the problem. Pls help.

My Camera is Canon A430, after 2 yrs of using, it just give me a black screen. I've pressed "Disp" button many times.
I can still see picture of taken photo through the display, but cannot see anything when trying to take picture, it just black.
If if I try to use the window viewer to get picture, I only get black result.
