Hitachi 55" LCD projector tv

I'm experiencing blue spots on my screen.  At first there was one going across the screen and now there's another one at the bottom of the screen.  I've tried to adjust the color but that didn't seem to work.

I just read notes above about blue spots on screen. I have a Hitachi LCD Rear Projection Television that was a yr old about 3 mo ago and I had to replace a lamp then at $275.00, now this. I was told it was a light engine...my model is 62VS69A, can you tell me what part6 I really need and how much it is, I'm way out of warranty time and have been out a lot of money so far.

I am glad that I read your sight before I got the repairman to fix the light engine for $1400.00. I did as your post suggested and Hatachi agree to pay for the new light engine AND the repair. The TV is two years old. The only problem is that the parts are back ordered. What is a little wait compared to $1400.00? Thank you!

Sony wega blue spots lcd tv 55 inch flat screen

I assume those blue spots are appearing in a line? Regardless, unless its under warranty, its time to start looking for a new flat screen. Otherwise call them for service, sounds like it will need a new main board

I have a hitachi-ultravision digital tv and there is several areas of blue on the screen edges and also a blue area in middle of the screen..

I hate to tell you this but what is called a filter 'Analyzer or Polarizer that is positioned before the Blue's LCD panel is going bad or has a great amount of dust build up on it.
A Good TV Service with experience on these types of LCD TV's should be able to tell you what the cost of repair is.

Blue spot on screen

there are light filters at each of the 3 lcd panels in the optical engine with a coating on them that determine the color. one of them (most likely the blue) is burnt from the heat and needs replacement. it could also be the fly-eye lens (whick evenly distribute the light) has burned as well. either way, it's very involved to replace, if you can get the parts. it's easier to have it sent in to get repaired.

Images has a blue color across the center

Wow, 3 in a row. As described on 2 other projector issues this is very similar to those others. I'll repeat the info here.

I assume this is an LCD. I don't remember the s4 being a DLP projector.

This sounds like the LCD panel used for the blue color has gone out. The image is made up of red, green and blue images layered upon the screen. If the blue panel has gone out then there is nothing filtering out the red light in the image.

It looks like yours has just a secone of the panel dying or comming loose from it's connector.

It could be a simple open and reconnect fix. I personally have never opened a projector, so I'm not going to walk you through it as I do not know how hard it would be to tinker with. It should eb a cheap fix for a true repair man though.

This is probably the polarizing filter. It will need to be replaced. It should not cost very much to fix.
