SOURCE: memory card

Did you just buy this card or have you had it working for a while and now this is happening?

From everything i have read about your camera, they won't take a 2 Gig card. A 1 GIG card is the biggest that is compatible with this camera. If the card is new i would take it back to the store and see if they will let you exchange it for a 1 GIG card.

If this just started happening after using it for a while -- it could be a problem with the card or the camera. Try putting in a different card and see if it will let you format that one. If it does you know for sure the problem is with the card. If you keep getting the same message no matter what card you use, i would phone Kodak. But, according to Kodaks own site, 1 GIG is the biggest card that is compatible. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Good Luck.

SOURCE: why is the camera stating memory card is full?

Hello, I have the same camera, I went to buy a Kodak memory card and the Representative was kind enough to ask me what digital camera, he said that the c330 will only take a 1GB SD Memory Card. Hope that helps.

SOURCE: 2GB SD card is brand new but camera says it is full.

Some of the older cameras will not take the bigger cards. You can use the bigger card with your computer to store your photos.

The P880 works with MMC and SD cards. Your new 4GB card is an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work. The camera is limited to working with cards 2GB and smaller.

This error message means that the card is corrupted or formatted for another digital camera. Turn off the camera. Insert a new card or format the card.
Try to format the memmory card using a card reader and the PC this should solve your problem if not you have to replace the memmory card.

Just purchased and installed SD memory card and the camera says memory card is unusable (Insert new memory card)

A bunch of stuff could be happening. First did you format the new card if not see if it can be formatted to the camera. if not then you will need to download the newest updates for that camera from the Kodak web site. For example the camera is set )internally) to accept a 1gig card and you installed a 2gig card it won't recognize the card until the camera firmware is updated. The easiest way is to format the card first.

Why can't you use 8GB memory card in Z710

I have a kodak z710 camera with a 2 gig card in it. I was wanting to get a 4 gig sdhc and i wasn't sure if the HC would work with this camera. HC stands for high capacity which means it allows the camera to load files on to the card faster. this may be the problem the kodak may not be HC compatable. but as i have said i have a 2 gig and it works fine with that. and i have a friend that has a 4 gig in thiers but once again i don't think it is HC so i would exchange the card if you can for just a regular SD/MMC card or SD card

Go into the camera menu and find "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions. If your camera uses an SD card, make sure the slide switch on the side of the card is in the unlocked position.

4 GB doesnt work

I believe this camera only supports SD/MMC cards, not SDHC cards. Go to the kodak site to see the detailed specs. Not all devices support SDHC - most new ones do - but some only support the older SD cards.

SDHC card won't work

Your card is an SDHC, your camera supports only SD/MMC cards. I know this because i found thisp ostlooking for a way to make it accept SDHC cards, a software update could easily work in theory but someone would have to write that update. Technology changes fast doesnt it.
