Lcd monitor pink/green tint

Hi!!! I have got a pink MOVING tints all around the LCD Screen. It changes with color. For example, in White Background, there are several horizontal pink lines moving across and in Dark Backgrounds, it shows green patches. If the background is all black, everything is fluorescent green and in grey backgrounds, it is okay!!! I know this is not the LCD Problem because if it is, it will show lines regardless of any color. Well, I had this problem long time back for almost a week and then it suddenly vanished. Now it reappeared!!! I just cannot point out the underlying problem!!!! Does anyone know what is causing this problem. Please Help Me!!! It's soo annoying.

Check the cable going into the back of your monitor and the cable from your monitor into your computer, one of them is most likely loose.

SOURCE: Pink tint on Dell 1704FPT Flatpanel LCD

The monitor is broken. The circuits that generate green in the RGB setup are not working. If its under warranty, replace it.

Unfortunately if you have tried a different machine (it could be a bad video card) and tried the cables most likely it is the screen itself. Typically when one of these lcd's begin to fail the pixles no longer access the blue field and you see mostly red instead of the other two colors. In short pink screen is terminal, it will last for a while longer.

SOURCE: monitor display problem - patches of flickering dash lines

Has anyone ever seen such? This is a screen shot of my wifes HP Laptop. Fresh driver, updated DX, hooked it to a monitor and sent this to a few friends much smarter than me on computers. Lot of trouble shooting by direction but no results yet. Anything would be greatly appreciated.

How can I fix a synmaster b1630 monitor that has green tint on screen now?

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

Laptop LCD/Display Problem, Green and Pink Tints???

Their are a couple things that could be causing this, My first thought is that the screen its self is damage. A LCD screen is composed of millions of tiny pixels so when some fails others will still work.
That other thought is that the GPU or video device on the laptop could be failing and creating video problems. Have you tried closing the laptop and opening it agian, this would help rule out a bad cable connection.

Monitor screen changes from regular color to a green tinted screen?

Looks like you need to purchase a new monitor. If it's too worn out then it's the outcome. I also had the same problem before and I ended up buying a new one. You should not experience that thing if it's new.

Can"t find white or comfortable background screen other than a light green that is hurting my eyes

If you have a screen that gets "tints" of various colors on a corner or edge, check that the monitor plugin cable is not near or laying on top of a power cable, the magnetic field around a power cord will cause a monitor to get strange tints or lines in the screen. Option two if the entire screen has a tint equally all over it is possibly the color is out of adjustment or failing - a technician should be able to adjust it internally.

Gateway FPD1960 19" CD has a red tint to all oc screen when I turn it on.

Make sure your VGA cable is seated properly. If it is seated OK, it could be the start of a problem with a backlight. When a backlight goes bad, it typically shows up as pink/red color where white should be displayed.

Monitor displaying yellow tint

Try this. Worked for me immediately, including with PhotoShop

  1. Go to Color Management (in Vista, just click the Windows Orb / Start Search & type in Color Management)
  2. On Devices, select your display (repeat if you have multiple ones... at least I did). e.g., Syncmaster ....
  3. Check the box: Use my settings for this device
  4. Select any and all profiles you have and Remove them.
Check to see if that fixed it. You may need to restart. I didn't have to.
