SOURCE: programming error BCT8 Uniden

Hello.
Back to answer my own question.
I just found the problem. If you try to program one of these scanners (Uniden BCT8) and you keep getting a "pr9-loc" message every time you try to enter a frequency and "M-LOCK" is showing in the upper right corner of the display press and hold the M-Lock (E) key until it beeps twice and "M-LOCK" disappears from the display. You're now set to program.
Keith.

SOURCE: my owner's manual for Uniden BC370CRS is NO help! Program help!

Find the frequency you would like to store, press "E" pgm, then select the bank you would like to store it in (1 thru 10) by using arrow up or down then hit "E" again and it will save it in that bank. When you hit scan this will scan all your saved frequencies.
For scanning all frequencies not saved, move the switch to scanner and arrow up or down, when you find one you would like to save follow the process above.

30 channel 10 band radio scanner uniden 8c60xlt

You listed your question under the BC60XLT, which is a 10-channel scanner. With 30 channels, I'm guessing that yours is actually a BC60XLT-1. To program a known frequency into it:

- Power the scanner ON.
- Press MANUAL.
- Enter the channel number that you wish to program.
- Press MANUAL again. (NOTE: Instead of entering the channel number, you can press MANUAL repeatedly to advance to the desired channel.)
- Enter the frequency, including the decimal point.
- Press E to store the information in memory.
- Repeat the above for other channels.

More detailed information can be found in the scanner operating manual, which you can download/print here:

http://www.uniden.com/pdf/BC60XLT-1om.pdf

If your scanner is a different model, pleasd let me know.

How do i program the BC60XLT-1 scanner

This is a pretty straightforward scanner with 30 channels. To program it, turn the scanner ON, press the MANUAL button to stop scanning, and then use MANUAL to advance to the desired channel. Enter your desired frequency, including the decimal point, and then press E (Enter). Use the MANUAL button to advance to the next channel, and then proceed as above.
