Kenmore sewing machine parts: I am looking for cams #1 (26841) and #2 (26842) for model 158.650. I believe they are "E" series cams. anyone know a source? Thanks

This video will probably be handy, although not quite your model, it should be very close. Generally, your machine should be able to do straight & zig-zag stitch without cams. Cams were usually for decorative stitches.
A sewing machine technician may be able to help determine who actually made the machine. The problem is, Sears negotiated with various companies to make Kenmore products and Sears frequently changed manufacturers. I believe Janome made some Kenmore sewing machines but during what period and for how long is questionable.
I think it has been discontinued. I don't believe it was a very expensive machine to begin with.
If you have one and are looking to resell it you may want to call a sewing machine repair shop in your area, and see if they will buy it off you or if they know where you can sell it. Try checking on ebay to see how much similar models have sold for.
I found out that the cams for the 6000 series are no longer available through Viking repair or dealers. I will check on eBay to see if anyone has parts available there.
