HDMI port damaged, mainboard need to be replaced.

But be absolute sure your HDMI port is not working properly, I recommed you try it again with another HDMI cable, you can also try same cable in another TV.

Bye

You might be surprised but maybe its a software issue. I had the same problem, no audio via HDMI ports/channels but a perfect picture. A possible Solution and really easy to do it yourself -
    1. Switch off the TV by the TV on/off button so no LED lamps are lit on the TV.
    2. Unplug the TV from the wall socket and leave switched off for 5 minutes. This resets TV software.
    3. After 5 minutes, insert plug into wall socket, switch on the TV and hopefully the HDMI problem be rectified.

Sounds too easy I know but it saved me a trip to the TV shop or throwing it in the skip.

Hitachi 53uwx10ba service mode

are you using an HDMI cable? is it a cheap thin cable or heavy duty?
HDMI cables carry sound but it's possible you don't have it seated completely or it's a cheap cable. or your audio settings on your TV are not set to HDMI if that's the cable you're using. try running your audio setup on the TV Menu.

Dvd color mostly blue and pink, colors look weird

try connecting thru an hdmi cable from your dvd player to your tv, check the colors then.. I'd say you have crossed your component cables.. match the connector letters a/b/x? and plug them in one after each other.

Polaroid FLU-2632 LCD TV full HD 2 HDMI problem

You could try pressing the source button on the remote to see if that brings it up.

Also the TV may have got itself in a muddle. There will be a way to reset it to factory setting. If you can get into the TV's setup menu there ought to be an option buried somewhere to do that.

I have connected my Bush DS-A332B dvd player to my Sharp Aquos 32GD8E 32 inch flat screen TV with a Bush HDMI cable (26602BU) but can only get sound and no picture. The cable is slotted into Ext 5 yet when...

I have same problem sound but no picture, have tried it on 2 different tv's but no luck, have tried 2 different hdmi leads (both Bush 26602bu) but no luck. I even thought it was the port on my tv but it works fine with another dvd player and the same lead. I even returned the dvd player and exchanged it, still the same... It's driving me nuts...
Help please......

Does a 2002 Hitachi 61' 61swx10b have a pixel count ?

you have to tell your blu ray player to only output 1080i via component cables. Do this in the blu ray players setup menu.

Display resolution through dvi input HELP!

For the record I have a playstation 3 running to tx100 through hdmi to dvi adapter. It does all resolution no probs, including 720p,1080i and 1080p (which tx100 does do smoothly through dvi). My denon upscaling dvd player works fine too. In fact the tx100 looks totally awsome with PS3 games and Blu-ray.

Maybe your dvi lead is the wrong type (i think there are 2 types) or perhaps you could test with a differrent piece of DVI kit in case it's your pioneer causing probs? Hope this helps.

Does not play multichannel audio (5.1) input through optical digital audio

Hi try this.

in the dvd player make sure you just leave it default (bitstream) but in the home theater receiver don't select 5.1 b/c that will only give you a virtual 5.1 not a true 5.1. In fact don't select any sound field at all just select dolby digital or dts depending on the source of the movie then you should be ok.

The only other problem i can see is that hdmi sends both the sound and picture to the tv. You will need to see if there's a function on the dvd player to only send the picture via hdmi and the sound via the optical out of the dvd player.

good luck

smeags.

All picture and no sound

Hi,
Silly question, but have you gone into the setup for the AUDIO and chosen the correct signal connection i.e. Audio via HDMI, AV or something else?
