I just bought a Kodak Z1285 digital camera and seem to have problems with the pictures once I try to transfer them to my computer. The pictures show up great on the camera when I view them but when I transfer them to my computer (Windows Vista OS) they have horizontal green lines appearing in them. I have used many methods to get them transfered but have the same result each time. I even tried using the photo software that came with the camera and it just gives me an error message stating that the picture cannot be transfered because it is damaged or missing. I know it can't be a problem with the cable because I have a second computer that I am running Windows XP on and they transfer fine to that computer. Is there a conflict with Windows Vista that is causing this or is there a totally different problem all together? Any help would be appreciated.

SOURCE: Lines on photos taken with Fuji FinePix E900, but not videos?
Lines displayed on your pictures during play back seem to be a common problem with some of the models of fuji that I have repaired and all that I can suggest for a reason for this is Moisture in the lens unit. The lens unit on the Fuji E900 for example has 4 shutter leaves that decrease the amount of light that hits the sensor. Like your eye when you look at strong light. And 7 or 8 other leaves below the first 4 to control the light further. These are operated by electro magnets and guided on plastic slides. So, when moisture gets in and collects over time it seems to stick the shutter leaves together and the camera no longer controls the amount of light accurately enough and you get wierd and wonderfull paterns on your pictures. So far 4 fuji E900's and 1 E550 I have found this problem with moisture and It Isn't a quick job to fix either. But it is possible if you know what you are doing.
Hope this is of some help
