Busted water inlet. Does anyone know where I could get one? It is an older refrigerator. Side by side, ice and water in the door.
Post a model number and more info. i would suggest you do a google search for your model and then find the sears site that has a picture break down of the parts. then you can find the broken part and order it thru sears parts.com
Thank you, Tom. We were unable to find anything at Sears, and thinking the frig may be too old to find parts for, my husband searched out a used appliance dealer and was able to procure the part through him. It was probably a little more expensive, but less expensive than a new refrigerator!! :) I appreciate all your help. And yep, I wasn't giving all the model number :) I know, I know.. "Women.." (shaking head) There, I said it for ya! hehe ;)

A couple things to check here. First see if there is ice in the tray. If so chances are the ice maker will need to be replaced however these are very reliable ice makers. If no ice in the tray pull up on the ejector blade (don't worry you won't break it) turn clockwise to start the ice maker thru a cycle. The ejector blade is the long white bar with fingers on it that run the length of the tray. Once it completes a cycle it should fill with water. If no water then either the fill tube is frozen over and will need to be defrosted or the water valve is bad.

The water will not dispense, its worked since we moved in but last night it just stopped working.

Check to make sure you freezer is at 0 to 5 degrees. If it is not the water valve to the ice maker will not even open.

I had the same problem and discovered that the water control valve was not shutting off completely between cycles. The water seeping through the valve was freezing in the water inlet tube. I replaced the water control valve for the icemaker and solved the problem.

There is a small door under neath ice maker shelf (literally) w/ 2 small screws that keep it in place,or a button that can release ice maker on the rt. side of machine. Good luck!!
