The hazard switches on some Audi models includes a relay for the turn signals. This was true on my Allroad and A6, but I haven't needed to replace on my TT yet.
Part is easy to replace, but about 50 to 75 dollars.
I have came across this before, once all fuses are checked and still no joy. then if these problems happened at the same time then it could be an ignition switch fault, try your hazard lights to see if they work, also try wiggling the key about in the ignition to see if anything happens if so it might just point to the problem.
Take it to Audi or your nearest specialist, the Diagnostic codes will need to be read to find out what is going on. Modern cars cannot really be diagnosed without specialist equipment.
The signal flasher is within the emergency flasher. It will usually make a lot of clicking noise when faulty though. Check all the bulbs on the car for proper operation. Good luck!
i believe the audi uses two relays for the turn signals and hazzard lights so it would appear the turn relay has failed. it should be located under the dash near the steer column.... seems to me me they have some shielding under the dash so it may be hard to get to.
Hazard warning light switch fault.
The hazard light warning button in the middle of your dash is actually a relay that often fails, causing this problem. New switch required.
Most likely it's the hazard switch - the relay for the hazards and the turn signals is built into it. When they start to die, you will see erratic behavior with the turn signals and/or hazards, and eventually they'll both fail completely. Replace your hazard switch on the dash and you'll be good to go.
