SOURCE: LG LCD HDTV 'NO SIGNAL'

To fix the problem, try turning off the TV and unplugging it from the outlet. Once unplugged, push the power button and hold it down for 1 minute. Then turn the TV back on and rescan for channels.

If the problem persists, contact LG customer service immediately as there is a problem with the memory card. The device is unable to retain scanned channels for immediate feedback.

All LG LCD automatically comes with a 1 year manufacturing warranty. You would have to provide proof of purchase to show when it was purchased. Hope this helps. The Guru

If i buy a soundbar with hdmi connection will my tv need to have hdmi ARC to work with the soundbar

Hi, it's recommended than both have ARC HDMI ports, so you can control sound bar from TV too, but if this HDMI port is not available at TV, the optical or digital audio output can be used instead to get hi fidelity audio.

How do I connect my ht ct260h step by step, with hdmi input do I use

HDMI can be a bit confusing when first connecting a system. Overall, the HDMI cable system allows for less clutter and digital audio and video, but you need some background to get it right.

The simple answer to your question is that the HDMI on your TV that is labeled HDMI out will go to your soundbar's HDMI input. Now, the reason you have a picture but no sound, will be one of 2 problems. If your TV is labeled with ARC, this means that it has an HDMI with Audio Return Channel and will be compatible with your CT260h soundbar. If you don't have sound, then you need to replace your HDMI cable with a ver1.4 HDMI cable so that ARC is supported in the cable design. If your TV does not provide ARC, then you will need to connect the audio using the digital optical connection which is a fiber optic cable of the TOSLINK variety. This cable should have been included with your soundbar packing.

Also be aware that if you buy a HDMI1.4 with Redmere technology to save on the size of the cable, it has a direction for the signal flow which must be adhered to, otherwise the cable will not pass either audio nor video.

I hope that answers your question.

How do i connect a technika TKSBSE213 soundbar to a telly

Does your TV have a Digital optical port? It's a cable that sends a red light source. That is actually how you're suppose to hook up a soundbar. digital optical cable Bing images Straight forward. Plug and play. If you're TV doesn't have an optical port, as I know your soundbar does then you have to use a stereo Y Cable. 3.5mm to Red/White. Sound bar will have 33% the power going this way as opposed to an optical cable. Aux Audio Out has a itty bitty amp pushing power. Purpose of the Digital optical Cable is a light source.

LG sound bar don't work on LG tv

Need models of TV and soundbar to be more specific.

Generic help: Not plugged in correctly (you connected to the TVs red and white sockets without realising that they are a "signal in" and not a "signal out" type socket. Incompatible (i.e. a soundbar that uses ARC but the TV doesn't have it). Wrong TV settings - You're connected to the headphone jack but you didn't bother reading the manual that tells you there's a separate control for audio out via that jack and it's buried in the menus. The list goes on.....

Read the manuals, and don't just guess where things plug in. That's always a good start.

Sound bar compatibility

Make sure red glow is coming from TV's Opt out cable when TV is on. If it is, it is working. The best solution is use an LG soundbar with an LG TV. There is a differnce in digital outputs and with a "service remote" (used by authorized LG servicers) you might be able to change the TVs factory setting to make the vizio soundbar work. but I think you'll be better off with the LG soundbar.

One gotcha -- the red light on the soundbar means the power is off. No light means the power is on.

Can an lg soundbar be connected to another brand of tv, ie a hitachi? cant gt any sound to come through !!

Depends on whether your tv supports "ARC" ( Audio REturn CHannel) or has an optical out port..the sound bars are designed to work with either the "ARC" function or optical out option

Connecting an LG soundbar to non optical digital tv

I'm pretty sure your soundbar has more than 1 input. Check your manual. There probably is AUX input on soundbar and that will allow you to connect to TV, assuming that your TV has any audio out. It could be either white and red RCA connectors or headphone jack.
