That is an older turntable and may require a "phono" input (a designated input--not just an RCA phono plug). Newer stereo systems may not have a phono input and you may have to feed the turntable through a pre-amplifier to get enough power to run it with a standard component line input (like Tape or Aux).

you need to connect to the stereo using a pre amp as the output from a magnetic cartsidge is very low.
Go to RADIO SHACK and get a pre amplifier module (hope its still available) , that will do the trick , AJ
