Cracked screen. Can it be replaced and by whom

I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it. LCD screens really break easily as you know. http://www.tv-armor.com

I replaced mainboard imported from germany, new version. fixed the problem, lasted for another 3 weeks and same problem, luckily they sent two cards instead of one and replaced with second mainboard, it is still working, never buy samsung tv again. I did every thing on the mainboard that i could like looking for a dry joint under magnifying glass, power on each connector, i dont have a ociloscope and also some of the parts on the mainboard are impossible to replace or find anyway. sick of opening and closing the stupid thing.
I dont connect anything except skybox to it and dvd player over hdmi, i think the problem could be due to PC connection, i.e. resolution changes causing some effect on the databus on the video processor chip.

You can go to Encompass or J&J electronics for the Panel. But If you have never replaced a Panel before, it is best left up to a trained Samsung tech.

Lcd and PlasmaPanels typically run from $900.00 to $1500.00 retail. If you have a trained samsung tech replace the Panel, you are looking at or near the cost of a new tv all said and done.
