You might need to force close the Google Play Store.

Sounds like you do not have an internet connection. Do you have internet service? If you do, turn your phone off and take out the battery, hold down the power button for 30 seconds, reinstall the battery power it up and you should then have an internet connection if you have service for internet/data on your phone
