ASUS pad tablet wont turn on

It was charged at 97% last night. I was playing Temple Run 2, when I put it down gently and went to use the restroom. When I came back, it wouldn't turn on. It still doesn't turn on but when I connect it to the charger or laptop, a dot on the power bottom turns red. If I disconnect it, the red light turns off. How do I turn it back on?

SOURCE: my mid tablet will not charge

your charger probably died. go out and by a new one and see if that fixes your issue.

Tablet not charging while plugged in

Turned off the tablet, unplugged the charger and kept the tablet off for about 30 minute to one hour, plugged in back the charger, then turn on the tablet. After that I you might see the tablet started charging. Good Luck.

Asus MeMO Pad HD 7 won't turn on or charge.

Ah ASUS. I have a Memo 10. Had the same problem when it was 6 days new. Asus has a UI that is bad.

1. First try to charge via USB to your computer. If you get any result good, leave it a bit.

2. Leave it plugged in and see if it will turn on. If you can get it to turn on ... do this.

3. Find the back up and restore/factory reset. Back up your data, pics, music. etc.

4. Do a factory reset... it will say everything of yours will be delted. Proceed.

5. Restart the tablet.

6. Go into settings and TURN OFF Asus's UI. On my Memo 10, under settings is a menu called "Asus Customized settings" in the sub-menu turn OFF "Use ASUS Quick Setting" yours may say something a bit different.

7. Restart. The look will be different but no worries. On the upper right see if your tablet it charging. It will be a battery with green and black and a lightening bolt in it. If it is charging try your wall wart charger.

Good luck!

Replace the battery.

Sounds like yours is shot.

(they don't last forever!)

There are some good articles on electronic device battery maintenance at http://Gizmodo.com search for them, they are worth the read.

Asus Memo Pad HD 7 won't turn on or charge.

1. how old is your tablet 2. have you tried another charger such as a phone charger. My blackberry charger works fine for my tablet. Also with your tablet you should have had a usb cable that connected from mini usb to the asus plug in transformer.

Wont come on

Happened to me. My solution was to fully charge, then hold down power button for like one minute or more continuously. It causes some kind of restart. Last resource, Press Vol Down and hold, then depress power button and hold. This causes it to go back to reset mode. Good Luck.

Tablet wont charge

I had this problem. I took apart the two sections of the charger plug and there were two silver wires in there. I thought they were leaning a bit together, so I just gently pulled them apart a little, put it all back together, and it works. Asus tablet, also dock, always charge successfully since. I hope yours does too if you try this.
