How to get an app stored in my funai blu ray payer for hulu
SOURCE: how to hook up insignia blu ray player to netflix
This model player (NS-BRDVD) is not Netflix capable. Netflix capable models are NS-BRDVD3, NS-WBRDVD, and home theater system NS-BRHTIB.
SOURCE: My new Blu-Ray player will not send out an HDMI
This is not a common problem.
It sounds like you are receiving signal from the DVD player, but are having a resolution issue. After the splash screen is when the resolutions setting can affect your output. What this sounds like is the DVD player is set to 1080P and the TV is only capable of 720P or 1080i. If there is a resolution mis-match, connect a composite cable to the TV and set the resolution of the DVD player to AUTO, then check to see if you have an image from the HDMI connection.
If your TV is capable of 1080P and if this solution does not fix the problem, and all other outputs from the player perform the same, the unit is faulty and should be returned if still under warranty.
Hope this helps!
SOURCE: i need to upgrade my blu ray player
If you are using the BRDVD there is only one update and it is a few months old. They are adding new security features to new Bluyray discs this month and all players out there need to be updated. The unfortunate side of the BRDVD is that Insignia is refusing to update the player although Funai(the comany that has made the player for them) has released a update that would work with it with little work by insignia.
To help get this player updated it would be good to go to the forums here and post that you still use this player. We got a update the first time so it should be possible to get another.
Good luck and enjoy this little player.

Hello
Check whether the discs are dirty or scratched. Check whther they are region compactable. If all are OK, the Blu-Ray laser pickup unit of your system is fault and slould be replaced. It is really a skilled work, and you should have through knoledge in electronics, and all tools to repair the set. Otherwise, get this set repaired by any experienced service person or by the Authorised Service Center for Insignia at your town. The whole mechanism should be disassemble to repalce the component. The work can only be done by any experienced person who know to disassemble and reassembe the whole deck mechanism. OK.
